75% tank I got about 400km in city drive. Quite consistent. But still not good enough for me.

The problem with Vios is, the FC varries a lot more with road condition than driving style.

Even I super light foot, my FC can't get much better than doing aggressive driving.

My first day I got 11.5km/L.
Then 12km/L, then 12.5km/L... then 13km/L avg. Good traffic got 14km/L. Highway at least 16km/L until 18km/L max.

Roughly 2 + 0.5 refuels = 1000km. So 1st service can get 2 FC results. My refuels is 75% always.

Weird. My tires hover on around 2.0~2.1 even after months, doesn't matter whether I fill in 2.3 or 2.2... months after months, it settles on 2.0~2.1.

Yes, I'm still on stock tires. Btw, spare tire need to pump air how much?

Spare tire is the special thin type one. I don't even know whether they can pump air or not?

Not mentioned in manuals.

moonstone13, Vios manual all the while has been available in other countries like Thailand and Singapore for years.

I drove kl-penang 4 times already. From KL->PG only half tank, reach Ayer Hitam around 370km~380km, fuel indicator still in half (4 bar used). I spent around 15~20km in KL before departing to PG. Avg speed 110~120km/h, occasionally until 140~150km/h.

If I >=140km/h all the way, and sometime rev rev, used 5 bars loh.

Yes. If you drive following speed limit (110km/h or 90km/h), from KL->PG half tank is no issue at all, I think you might even able to travel around in PG island to used up the leftover in the 4th fuel bar (top is the 1st for reference, total 8 bars).



My 4th service outside liao. Using Motul 300V . Price around RM300~RM400 like servicing in Toyota, but I get good oil, can see my car and better service. They even help me wash some part of the engine unlike UMWT SC my engine bay stays the same dusty condition.

5th service maybe I go back UMW.. just to have record ... maybe can sell better $$$ next time.

Weight will affect FC nonetheless. Mine is 3ppl (or 2) with always trunk full of bags, cloths, food & microwave oven. Lol.

5ppl... hmm... maybe climbing toward the Ipoh tunnel you need to engage '3'.

Toll is around 26 + 18 + 7 + .xx = 51.xx

I see. Probably you are avg on 130km/h or more , which is around 16km/L on highway. Try 110km/h and you'll get 18km/L.

My tires sound always deafens whatever other sound I could had heard at fast speed. It is so significant that when going over newly paved road, it seems the whole car suddenly so quiet.

AFAIK, at that speed, not even a RM200k+ cars are without wind noise. I supposed you have compared it to another Vios and yours appear noisier? Then maybe I think the door rubber is doing nasty?

Yes. They didn't change the oil filter. Even Honda City also same.

The best oil for Vios is still 5W-40 (manufacturer recommendation).

Don't try 5W-30 as that is for car like Celica, might damage your engine in the long run.

I'm dumb, just follow manufacturer recommendations. Or ask good viosclub members about engine oil recommendations.

Too thin the oil offers lesser lubrication. Too thick it will be hindrance. Unless your car is professionally modded and professional recommends 5W-30, of course use it.

You can try 5W-30 for your car anyway. Not my concern.

According to stickers & manuals, AFAIK, Vios/MyVi is RON91, and Iswara is RON98 (see the sticker on the fuel cap). If I'm not wrong, Campro engine are RON95.

Hi all, I finally found my 1st service receipt where I changed my ATF WS 4L fluid. Here are the items charge:

ATF WS FLUID 4L - RM129.80
TOYOTA MOTOR OIL MINERAL - RM59.90
OIL FILTER - RM29.15
GASKET - RM1.70


Full synth I think is around RM180~RM190, Semi-synth is around RM90.
