That is 30k service. Yeah, it is around 600+ for the entire service cost for 30,000 milleage with fully synthetic oil.

The high service charge is for all those administration thing - how are they going to hire so much people and maintain big service centre?

Btw, the 1st 2 service charge is free, while the parts are not.


p/s: ... it is only useful for warranties. You can go for non-Toyota SC to service your car.

Not only time saver, the "service charge" is the killer $$$.

Wind noise problem is standard. Just that those spoilt brats have been so used to dad's Camry/Accord/Merc/BMW hence the complain. Squeezing sound is the safety belt thingy which I think will be there for quite some time.

Just back from PG, this time I could clock 18.6km/L on light load (2 human + very little luggage), and 15.8km/L on super heavy load (full 5 human + trunk super tighly pack).

Avg speed is 110km/h with occasion 120~130km/h.



p/s: I'm now on 39k mileage. Going for 40k service this Sat.

The major irritating noise I got are
1. when going uphill while the engine hover on 2000rpm the engine roar is loud. other rpm is ok.
2. road noise. btw it is most loud in the driver side. Try to be passenger, the noise is lesser a lot. But no where near Latio's NVH.
3. when hovering/cruising on around 120km/h, there's a periodic cyclic humming sound easily heard.
I have ViosG, ViosJ & Wira1.6 to compare. Still the Wira is more noisier.

Anyway, do you add any spacer on your rims, or the overall radius/diameter is still maintained?

Just recently I ride Waja and man, even @ 90kmph felt similar like Vios going 160kmph. Vios 180kmph definitely is bumpy & floating. Esp when you are on the right lane to KLIA try it.

Vios is able to reach around 200kmph +/-, but it were never that stable - the ground clearance is high, roof is taller and this is not a track car. Don't buy Vios and treat it as a sport car, accident will happen.

My ViosG have ASL built-in, so I still able to heard the radio even when that fast because the volume auto-adjusted via car speed. At 180kmph, the tire noise are worse than the engine noise. Even 6000rpm sounds muted with all those tire noise. As for the whistle/wind sound, can't even heard it @ that speed because tire too noisy. Wind noise can be heard when you are around 80~120kmph.



Come on, even all those Lotus handling car also body roll when I U-turn. Really tried them all (except Neo CPS, anyone know where to test drive or owner free ride? ).

Mine is Vios07 (I always mistaken as Vios08) now almost 48000km already. The dashboard frame (the black smooth plastic frame outside) that connect to the textured body plastic panel starting to have sound. I use my hand to press it while driving and the sound gone. Small issue though.

As for body roll, half of it means lousy handling, half of it means having feedback that tells you the car is approaching its handling limit - more and you will lose control. It can be good or bad depends on how you look at it. You can mask away much of the body roll with after market parts but, there's still always a limit.

I got same milleage for using either RON95 or RON97. More towards 70km~80km range per bar.

Fir highway travel I would get an average of 95km per bar.

My avg speed is 120kmph on highway. I goes >4krpm occasionally and mileage roughly stays the same. But I drive smoothly anyway.

The big difference is when stop & go traffic.

You don't even sweat to reach 15km/L on highway even maintained @ 140kmph.

Added on September 29, 2009, 9:56 pmWelcome. As I said, the Vios TRD is actually a better buy than the Vios S, as the leather seats itself is worth the extra 2k they added from Vios S.

I'm just sad they didn't offer Vios TRD manual with TRD stuff inside including TRD suspensions & shocks.
