I also curious about this, as my mom currently using EXTRA plan that can buy 365 days validity because she just needs to keep the number active, no need call or any data as only use home WiFi, so reload every month is like wasting money. As the SMS said "Current plan benefits will expire post-upgrade", then the validity until next year July will burn too?

If like this I wonder can report to MCMC or not as this considering as forced buying from my point of view.

So the validity seems will keep... But still the most important question, after that need to pay every month, which not really suits to the really light user that only use WiFi and just need the number for using WhatsApp

Hotlink fast = 2015-2017 plan
Hotlink red = 2018-2020 plan
Hotlink pantas = 2021-now (fka hotlink prepaid 365, was offering alongside HPU / unlimited until 2023)

Not many prepaid plans out there that offers long validity period.

My other number currently on XOX, thought of switching it to Hotlink Prepaid Plan or Pantas.

Sellers on Shopee are still selling the 365 plan, so it must still exist.

Could be, by default, you get the Red plan, until you jump and down and complain before they give you the 365 plan.

My wife got her Bagus WM converted to pantas plan. Her 365 was shorten by 4 months and had to email Hotlink to restore back to March 2026. CS BS her initially that bagus WM only get one month validity after conversion.

She confirmed that there’s still 365 available on pantas plan as per conversion FAQ.

Had two lines with Pantas... validity will remain? I top up last month to align both number with same expiry date... planning to buy 365 validity next week.

This is how misinformation spreads ..... confusion occurs when people in the know does not come forward to clarify matters ...

Initially someone asked about his/her hotlink FAST is being upgraded to RED .... AFAIK, FAST (v3.0) pre-dates Pantas and had different features ...

All you have to do is to wait for the conversion to complete ... then if later you're not happy with RED, you can either switch to current hotlink prepaid or hotlink pantas (or you can also make the switch now if you wish) ...

A simple research on hotlink site (or with uncle google) can verify that FAST IS NOT Pantas ... The current hotlink Pantas is not affected and remains as is ... Anyone who needs the 365 days thingy can still switch to Pantas anytime .....

So, simmer down and don't get worked up over nothing .....

Yes correct. Maxis/Hotlink is upgrading those with old plans to red plan. It has nothing to do with pantas plan.

AFAIK fast plan cannot subscribe to validity 365 anyway (those plans with free basic internet cant since launch)

Yeah it's confusing. They shouldnt label it as fast. The real fast is the old one (launched circa 2015).

Yeah. Fast (4g) plan circa 2015 had free 4g only quotas for weekends. Seems like after changes including 3G decommissioning (back in 2021) and 4g band readjustment happening recently will means above benefit is no longer attractive and better to be axed.

Similar thing happened to digi plan when they slowing remove some of benefits like FnF (hotlink had equivalent called activ 10) and free weekly streaming quota (on live plan) being removed recently

As we moved to apps for our interactions, those benefits on old plan becomes irrelevant. Plus with unlimited calls on most plans, setting up those numbers for cheaper rates doesn't make sense anymore. And when people port to other telcos you'll be paying a normal rate. Even maxis acknowledge this:

Plan benefits in extra plan (such as 1 year validity) will not carry over to red plan. Validity will follow red plan.

However u can change your plan to pantas for 1 year validity.

So they're discontinuing the frenz free sms. Logical since not many uses sms nowadays and maintaining old system not many ppl use costed them $$. The only old hotlink plan still attractive, at least for idling is that plan where theres no grace period, every reload will extend validity 90 days. I think they offer it for less than a year since it confuses ppl, after that 90 days validity theres no grace period whatsoever and straight cut off no signal number recycle.

Oh this is equivalent to digi easy/live friends feature back than. But barely anyone knows hotlink did have such competitive product to live prepaid of same era. And the earlier easy prepaid was launch 2010 and heavily advertised back then

Oh and that friends feature is now went same fate as FnF on other plans too because changing behaviours of communication down the line


Edit: hotlink prepaid video was originally called hotlink superrr and was targeting at foreign worker customer with idd special rate. So in other way this plan also served as competitor to digi raja combo plan
