What chrono-trigger meant probably; all hotlink packages don’t need to care about hotspot quota, if 100gb, phone or modem can use 100gb. Whereas with celcomdigi, must carefully select. If wrong select by not reading details properly, all those fancy big giga plans rupanya come with 3gb, 10gb hotspot only.

I have this still-active Hotlink sim that I plan to use in my 4G modem.

Upon checking, it is on Prepaid Plan (not Pantas).

A quick browse of internet data offering mostly will give extra quota only if I'm connected to 5G which my modem cannot.

Will Pantas plan offer good package without differentiating between 4G and 5G?

I oredi tried this with my modem (ticked B28) and it simply gives no signal.

Yes can get 5G on my phone. In Klang Valley.

Which one is the 200GB plan? Any screenshot? Pay attention to how they tend to separate quota 4G and 5G.

Edit: OK saw it on hotlink’s website. RM40, FUP 200GB, 12mbps, uncapped 5G speed 8pm to 8am. It is useable on sim card router (hotspot). But if the router is LTE only (like mine is), you will not get the uncapped speed from 8pm to 8am.

Some time last year I ordered one from hotlink website itself. A few days delivery. But if you want quick, just any shop that has Hotlink Pantas starter pack on display.

The offer period for TuneTalk / HaloTelco 500GB for RM50 now no more. Already reverts to 350GB for RM50 which is still decent. Yes it uses Celcom line.

Personally the 3mbps was quite ok on my phone. It’s passable whenever I’m out of wifi range. Paying RM30 for 6 months is great if one just wants a working internet.

I remember using it for hotspot though. The streaming experience wasn’t great.

It’s under HotlinkMU tab. Some ppl have it, some people don’t. Hard to say what’s the criteria.

I’ve used it. No issue in Thailand. The fact that can also use upon returning in Malaysia is nice bonus.

This ‘new’ offer from Hotlink Prepaid looks more interesting. As in the max speed is upgraded unlike the measly 12/24mbps before. The 200GB FUP for RM40 kira oklah.

Rite now using Tunetalk RM35 150GB. So will think if I want to go back to Hotlink prepaid for my 4G+ home modem.
