I purchased a laptop from Lenovo on August 11 as per ZM Fong's recommendation.

At that time, the website showed "ship in 2 weeks".

But after 1 week, I got an email from Lenovo stating that due to worldwide parts shortage issue, my order will be delayed until end November.

Well, I can't do much right now and just wait la.

Curious, how did you manage to get that price? I went to the Lenovo site and tried to configure the build to the image that you had and it came out as RM2.7k

If you don't plan to cancel (assume the deal is good) then make sure to bug them for rebate (normally 5%). Already past the 2 weeks.

Hi all, looking for recommendation for laptop for student:

1. Budget : below RM3K (pref RM2.4 - 2.8K or below)

2. Usage : for student (school work, web browsing, watch videos + bit of light gaming eg Roblox, Minecraft)

3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc) : 14-15" screen, decent battery life (>10hrs), not too heavy (<1.8kg)

Not in a rush, can wait up to 1-2 months.
