Hi there,

I need some help and suggestions for my health issue. For months, my appetite has been poor and my stomach feels tight, hardened, swollen and general discomfort. Sometimes, I'll get excess saliva, reflux, head palpitation, pain in the chest and anxiety feeling.

I've seen GI specialists and done endoscopy. They did not find any structural issues (bacteria, lesion, bleeding, ulcer, dysplasia, cancer) and just dismissed me as a stress-related case. confused.gif

My doctors' medications (acid suppressant, antacid, gas & bloating, abdominal pain) for me doesn't seem to help even after months.

My stomach biopsy states 'chronic follicular gastritis of moderate severity'. Could my symptoms be due to gastritis?

Is there any supplements or alternative treatments that you would recommend?

Hallo,

Seem like you cant find any solutions.

My advise to you ;

Change your diet to vegetarian; do perform your daily yoga exercise.

Talk to vegetarian expert and positive mindset; practice and be positive.
Dont get advise those we are not in positive mindset with vegan and vegetarian practise.

After you gone thru this, i will advice you the last resource.

Thanks.

1. change to a smaller meal size. you may increase the frequency to compensate.
2. stay in upright position(dont lie down) after meal for at least an hour.
3. walking for 15-30 min after meal stimulates peristalsis, and should help move food along the gi tract, reducing the bloat feeling.
4. incorporate ginger into the meal. if dont like ginger, consider ginger supplement

good luck. if no improvement in a week consider going to another doctor. dont let this go on for too long.

I heard that the exclusion of gluten foods will be beneficial for anyone experiencing stomach problems. And probably you will be benefiting from prebiotic foods such as yogurt and kefir.

Palpitations can sometimes be caused by gastric reflux.

Didn't the doctors put you on the usual H. pylori
treatment of a gastric drug plus two antibiotics ?

" We conclude that FG is highly correlated with H. pylori
infection and represents a local immune response to
bacterial antigens. Their occurrence is probably
multifactorial and related to age, duration of infection,
bacterial strains, host immune status.

You could try some supplements.

As Slimey advised, ginger can also be helpful.

Not really. Since it started, I have avoided fast food, processed, spicy, oily and fried food. I've been eating clean mostly boiled soup with rice or noodle soup.

Biopsy result and the urea breath test I did showed H. pylori negative so the antibiotics are not given.

As for supplements, I'm now trying Nuvapine A and sea buckthorn. So far, I'm slowly improving.... hope it continues to heal.

Tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in water about 30 mins before eating. No need for expensive brand. I use one in honey about rm22

Have been in similar position..every test under the sun. Scopes, scans. Expensive nexium on and off. Ranitadine, zantac and gaviscon. Prebiotic and probiotics. Had antibiotics multiple times. Tried slippery elm but that didn't do much. Grasping at things to ease the pain.

Told to avoid dairy, avoid wheat, avoid spicy.

One glass of apple cider vinegar in some water and within 30 mins no pains. Felt great.

Oh, family history no such problem? sweat.gif When I was younger i refrained from eating beef because that time i watched on Discovery Channel about E.coli bacteria living on beef. I did not eat till like i think 8 years ago. haha. when i was much older and i think i stumbled on another video which said as long as the beef is 100% cooked, there wont be such problem. So then i started eating beef...hmm. thinking of mcd triple cheese burger... hahaha. How are you doing now? Still need go check up with doctor?

Actually many people who suffer digestive problems often have low acid caused by taking too much antacids and PPIs such as nexium. That's why they have issues digesting foods such as veggies. Along with low acid bacteria can flourish and cause problems. It becomes a viscous circle of stomach pain and going to the doctors for expensive tablets

Apple cider vinegar has been used for a long time to treat digestive issues. It is known as a cure all. It is made from fermented apples and contains what they call the 'mother earth'. A spoon mixed with some water and drink with a straw first thing in the morning will do you wonders. It will replenish the low acid and also because it is fermented it will have lots of good bacteria.

What have you got to lose if you try? More tablets? More cutting out this and that food. More doctor visits.
