Hey guys long time no see.
Been painting my Noblesse Oblige lately, here are some WIP pics

Paint used is Citadel Acrylic Paint; Burnished Gold, Mithril Silver, Boltgun Metal, and Chaos Black.

Sorry if the pics are bad, I'm still a newb with cameras sweat.gif
And yeah, I painted them on the runners without applying primer. It felt like a waste applying the primer as the kit needed only a few highlights..haven't washed it beforehand though..so paint didn't stick as good sweat.gif
I'm still waiting for my Copic Multiliner 0.03 mm Pen to apply panel lining to some areas before assembling.

Also here's where I'm at on White Glint.

Going to assemble first, then apply primer icon_rolleyes.gif

One question though, can I use the primer as base coat? My primer has the same color as the base coat for the Acrylic paint I will be using. Will the bond be strong enough for paint/primer to prevent chipping?

Wouldn't there be nub marks after you remove them from the runners then?

Actually, primer grips stronger on plastic than your base coat, but it is mainly used to identify uneven surfaces or to help identify colors if you're painting white on white. So yes, you can use primer to replace your base coat since it is of similar color.

Honestly, i do not use primer as i find it unnecessary. Two to three coats of paint should help avoid (not prevent) any paint from peeling off, unless you plan to do some heavy masking afterwards. On another note, no matter how much primer or layers of paint you use, improper handling of your model kits will chip the paint, like accidentally scratching it with sharp edges or fingernails or grinding between moving parts when posing them.

Then again, paint chipping is your friend if you wanna make your Glint look like this rclxms.gif

Not really, I didn't paint those parts attached to the gates. I am though after snipping/sanding the nubs smile.gif

Thanks biggrin.gif
Alright, time for another update!

Been pretty busy this week, but I managed to get some things done...

First...I created my spraying booth for priming/future uses, similar to the one this guy made icon_idea.gif

I primed my parts using GW's White Skull primer (these are really expensive...gonna have to find an alternative after this kit shakehead.gif )
all done in the morning, then left them to dry until just now

Oh, and during the drying time, I found a local hobby shop nearby, and guess what I found?

I also saw AALIYAH Supplice Night Battle Limited and Nine Ball Another Seraph Limited kits shocking.gif
but must wait for AALIYAH Unsung! And unfortunately..my wallet wasn't big enough for Seraph sad.gif

Nope, but the exterior detail is pretty loaded.

Recent kits are comparable to older MG Gundam kits in terms of poseability but due to their unconventional designs, they might have problems imitating human poses. It's kinda obvious because Gundams are designed to look like the human anatomy and Cores are designed to look like, well... robots tongue.gif

its not alicia tongue.gif, its Aaliyah (i remember the actress's name from MI:2), its not misinformation. if u got play AC:FA, Aaliyah Unsung's pilot is actually a guy, who became a NEXT exile, then wanted to realizes Rayleonard's plan to life again years after the National Dismantlement War (AC4 storyline). Its the same guy who modify AC Supplice (AC Rank A No. 1), added more awsm weaponary (the RA rifle stays intact), changes the legs to Reverse legs :3

Alicia is the name given to the Core due to the modifications made to the original design, which is called AALIYAH. The stabilizers this kit comes with has the name 04-Alicia/Luci1 & 2 smile.gif
