Oh crap, there's a 5kb file in your PC in (Document & Settings/UserName/Apple Computer/iTunes/iPod Software Update/January Software Upgrade) that will let iTunes know that you bought the apps then iTunes will open the door in the firmware to allow the apps to be installed in your iPod touch when you restore.

You gotta buy again.

Uh, Mike, Gelaskin isn't available in M'sia as far as I've searched.... so you mean I have to go to SG to get one? Wow. That's a great deal of an effort I'd have to make to get a protective cover for the back of it.. what about the front? I know it's really scratch-resistant but I'm just paranoid. unsure.gif

Once you jailbreak it, you can't change it to original factory settings/apps and yes it'll void your warranty but if anything happens to your iPod touch... just restore to fresh state and you're good to go.

@Mike: I'm not from Penang and it's a real hassle just to go down there to get a Gelaskin.

@catsper: Can you name me them? (if you can, if you can't nevermind) I'll be going to 1U today or tomorrow so I'll ask the Apple shop near Nike+Adidas, etc about it. Would they be able to be of help?

If my memory did not fail me, it is sold in an exotic gadgets shop in New Wing, beside a shop selling computer accessories.

I've been seeing two sides of a fraction, some people say that if you jailbreak, and restore, the warranty is void.

Some say that if you jailbreak and restore, the warranty is applicable. Which one is it?

The first one applies to the iPhone.

Second one applies to iPod Touch.

That's as far as my understanding of other members' posts go, but I can say it's 75%.

I remember one said if you jailbreak the iTouch, you can reset to factory default and warranty ain't void.

After you jailbreak your iPod, go to Installer>Network>MobileChat v2.23. Install that and you're good to go.

Not a movie nut, I'm a music nut. wink.gif

8GB is more than enough for me, because I don't put my whole collection of music on it (47GB in all).. if I wanted to do so I'd get the Classic. :/
