it requires to RESTORE the iPod Touch before updating....

however, mine after updated, the contents inside iPod Touch
still remains....

how significant is the "FASTER" that u notice???

btw, is it worth it to restore and update to the latest firmware after u have jailbreak it??

not worth to restore....
but since i didnt jailbreak it..
might as well upgrade the fw..
not quite sure how fast is faster....
but i can feel the navigation is more reponsive...

If not in use, you can:

-put it into Sleep Mode by pressing Sleep/Wake button once.
-put it into Shutdown Mode by pressing Sleep Wake button for a few seconds.

owh..sleep mode mean like standby mode eh?no need to turn it on back?

I'm using invisible shield/skin...it gives u full ipod touch body protection and still maintain the looks of it. Or maybe you should just skin it.

I'm using one from bestskinsever.com. it's far cheaper than the Invisible Shield but with the same quality of protection. now I don't need to worry about scratching the Touch even when I stuff everything inside my pocket.

I ordered mine online from the website and it arrived around 10 days after that. too bad I already sold the extra sets that I bought with mine, if not you could've gotten one from me.

If u plan to get this earlier (rather than waiting till 2008), look for the TRADE ZONE.
There are several people are selling the UNLOCKED version (usable in Malaysia, DiGi, Celcom and **Maxis)
** Maxis at the moment only certain areas in Klang Valley

See how 'deep' your pocket is... then decide which gadget u wanna to go for !

Invisible Shield is more expensive than bestskinsever as it includes all the required tools to apply the skin, (can't really recall what's included in it, but you can check it out from their website) while bestskinsever, they just give you the skin itself and you'll have to apply it using your own materials (such as soap, a card, etc).

after applying the skin, I don't have to worry at all about scratching the iPod. now I just need to worry about dropping it.

arrgg.... already downgraded to v1.1.1, but when i tried to use Safari on any page (yahoo.com / google.com)... it said

"Safari cannot go to the page. It could not find the server" error message.

I can't surf at all after downgraded.... by then how to go to Jailbreakme.com if like that ?

I now already in v1.1.1 version, which method should I use to JailBreak it ?
1) latest www.jailbreakme.com method ? OR
2) previous v1.1.1 long-step method ?

pls help.... anybody ?

Talking about casings, can the iPod Touch use the Apple socks? Will it fit? I've been using a nano with it and planning to buy a Touch soon, but it seems pretty big to fit.

Can anyone testify this?
