recently upgraded laptop from win10 to win11
laptop start to have booting issue after the upgrade
every time finish booting it goes total black screen
i must press power button to hard turn off then press again to be able normal successful booting into desktop

what could be the problem? is it something wrong with my laptop?
or problem with win11 itself?

Windows 11 is the version to try out new things and get complained.
Windows 12 will fix it.

I tried it on Windows 10 on code page 65001, but no luck of seeing Hindi characters "हिन्दी"


Does anyone want to test in your Windows 11? I have this hindi.zip (containing hindi.asm and 32-bit hindi.exe).

Thanks for trying to download. It is false positive, as it is common for Assembly programmers community for their programs to be falsely detected as trojan (exactly this Wacatac.B!ml), maybe because of small EXE file size, 2048 bytes only.
I think it only works well in Windows 11, for older version of Windows, have to choose the appropriate fixed pitch font to display certain language correctly.

Yes, my source code is in UTF-8, I either use WriteConsoleA with "db" byte string, or WriteConsoleW with "du" Unicode string, but both cannot show Hindi characters in my Windows 10. (If I output Chinese characters, must also choose Chinese font for Command prompt window, or else it is just appearing as ??? string)

And I also force to use Windows 11 on my new rig, Microsoft basically just make Windows 11 more complicated than 10

For example, previously on Windows 10 I just press Wi-Fi icon on bottom right, then select Wi-Fi network to connect

On Windows 11, press Wi-Fi icon, then Wi-Fi network again > select your network and connect

Same applied to output sound, on Windows 10 right sound > volume mixer then let me adjust the volume

On Windows 11, then open a settings that show volume mixer then adjust again
