Actually that one didn't really come into my mind. Reason why I wan to provide aircon room for my chins is because they are suffering in the hot weather. All the while wan to provide an aircon room for my chins, but afraid tat the electricity bill will give me a heart attack. Let's try for a few months and see how 1st loh, if really cannot afford then will on aircon during day time and fan during nite time. Or work part time to earn more money not easy ar... to be a good parents "Pet owner"

I just kidding in my early msg... not so hardworking la , if the A/C cost is too much then I might cut down the duration from 20hr to 16hr or may be cut down my junk food cost, etc.

really?! now very curious oledi u sure my chins will do the same thing or not one oh? I only saw 1 weird thing which is pebble walk with 2 legs (walk like human). Only once and last for at least 10 second. Other than that nothing liao.

I used daikin inverter 1HP, no need special installation. If you use panasonic then need since it required 2 pipings instead of 1. Earlier on I used panasonic and dun really like it and now change to daikin (my own room), so I get my chin daikin as well. hahaha pls dun misunderstand ya, I am not daikin agent here.

Sure sure, I plan to check the electricity unit used (for aircon only) on tomorrow. No one at home during day time so it is a lot easier to check the usage of aircon. Will let you guys know the duration (hr) and electricity unit used. Then u guys can extrapolate the usage.

Currently I am using 1HP and I set it to 22 degree celcius and room can only achieve 24 degree celcius (constantly). Off twice, once is between 9-11.30pm, temperature drop until 28 degree celcius at 11.30pm. Another time is at 5am to 7.30am.

Called the pet shop owner, Mei Yee this morning. Confirmed that chinchillas are displayed and she claimed that those chins are displayed in the show unit not aquarium. However, I did explain to her about the heat stroke issues and temperature shall maintain below 28-30 degree and ventilation is required. Very impressed that she accepted all my comments and told me that she will remove those chins from carefour. I didn't order her to remove immediately as I think it is very rude to do so. However I expected the chins will be remove b4 friday.

Very sad that I dun go to carefour subang and I can't follow up with this case. Can anyone who stays near subang or will go carefour subang let me know if chins still display/suffering in carefour. Thank you.

My rabbits do make sound if they are scared.


However, sample of chinchilla's sounds (angry, calling, warning, etc) can be found on the net if whoever are curious. Just do a search on google.

Chinchillas: I noticed my chins and jacklene's chins's ears are having black spots. Is it because dirty or what? coz when my chins were young, the black spots were not there.

icic, I really thought it is dirty at the 1st place and I plan to use baby wipe to wipe the ear oledi. My two chins oso having the same thing and getting worse and worse. Will try try to use baby wipe to clean a bit la. Otherwise I dun feel good. may be can get ripe some black spots ler

yeah, I called once. Ermmm still not picking up my call. Later use another no. to call

I am very sure that the person in-charged is refused to pick up my call. Try calling and din pick up. Reason why I said that coz today I kinda free, keep calling her (same and different no.), sometimes my phone shows "third party... call waiting" which mean she is on another call and she just dun pick up any stranger's call.
