Just got my Sony TV! I ordered 65X85K for RM4080 back in April and finally got the delivery last week. To my surprise, it’s a 65X85L that got delivered!
*
Which store did u order from? Why it takes so long to deliver?

Price is dirt cheap for X85L 65-inch.

Senheng? Likely they ran out of older stocks.

Side note I just realized there’s one video codec that the chip in Sony can’t decode, VC-1 😅. Some older 1080p has this weird format tsk.
*
Yes, I encountered movies not playable on my A80J also.

Tried the VLC with the setting of full hardware acceleration. It works but not perfect though but can watch comparing to using the native player for the Sony tv.

If OS is important, go for Google TV. The rest has their individual limitations, else just grab a streamer like Nvidia Shield Pro.
*
yes. google tv so far the most stable tv os i had used.

much better than android tv last time..

Sure why not. But normally I will try to google about it first, thus far no issues on my X9000H
*
I see. Ok ok. I just worry if the firmware has issue as well. Hahaha.

65” A80J on latest firmware, no issue 🤷🏻‍♂️. Popped up and I just updated 🤣.

My TV usually on Plex or YouTube.

Upgraded mine to the latest firmware also. Did not notice much difference although it said performance fix. Will monitor to see if the performance is indeed better even by a bit. Haha.

Only obvious difference is that eco dashboard is added.

And VRR should be supported for certain hdmi ports which the stock firmware did not.

Is Sony moving away from the smaller screen sizes? I noticed that 43" and 50" has only one model each, whereas 55" and above have many models.
*
Not surprised.

Anything below 55-inch is no meaning at this age. Too small. I am using 55-inch in my room also i find it minimum only.

if living room, seriously needs 65" and above... tongue.gif

Cannot be... People's houses are not getting bigger, rooms are not getting bigger. Surely there's an optimal size for the TV, especially if you sit five feet away from it.
*
u missed out the point of resolution. last time ppl only have SD, HD, FULL HD.

now we are talking about minimum 4k or even 8k. this is why bigger display makes a difference. it does not matter whether the house is getting bigger or not. but eyes needs bigger display to appreciate the high resolution.
