Data Encryption, this MUST match your wireless router/modem settings, ie both the KS20 and wireless router must have the same setting. If they are not the same you should change the data encryption in one of them to match the other. Easiest way, is to change data encryption type setting at the device by trial and error until it matches the wireless router.

You have configured your device for max wireless speed, ie WLAN 802.11G. Use SKTools to configure File System cache to 4MB and Glyph cache to 32KB. Does your wireless modem support 802.11G?. The older modem does not.

I am still using a WM phone, therefore this thread is relevant. No iPhone for me, maybe Android when there are more applications written for it. WM is still king of the hill. tongue.gif

Almost identical except for physical size and screen size, 3.2 v 3.8 inch diagonal. Diamond 2 has less XDA ROM support. Newer I suppose.

Dear DrWho,

hows the htc diamond2? i hv used for few days of the first gen htc diamond. my oponion was that it was too suqarish for me. but the interface was very smooth relative to my ks20. the sliding home screen was also good and fast. i am just wondering 'how much smoother and faster the htc 2 can be, and does the price justify it at all?

i am now studying this cellphone too ... .waiting little linger to see the price drop b4 considering it.

happy htc. haha.

Original HTC diamond was buggy because of TF3D. HTC D2 has the same size RAM and ROM as HTC HD. The processor is almost the same, so it is fast and stable and fluid. With the newer HTC you don't really need third parties softwares for calender, SIP, Contacts, Dailer etc making it less likely to be problematic.

I tried the Diamond 1 before and it was slow and sluggish. So those owners with D1, can they install the TF3D from D2 so that it will run the same since you said both hardware is the same?

I don't think it is possible, different processor.

About RM2.4k. D2 is almost identical to HD. I am using tweaks and programs written for HD in the D2.

The main difference is the screen size and BATTERY LIFE. Apart from these they are quite the same. The D2 battery can last just over a day and of course looks better. Functions and speed are the same.

Original package does not include the pouch and just the usual.

You need to replace the NetworkProfile file located at \Windows. Search this thread for the file.

This thread is in a danger of being under ICU. Needs a bit of resuscitation.
Ed, life is good. HTC HD2 will be out anytime. 5mm wider and longer and 1mm thinner than HTC HD. 1G processor. May get one. tongue.gif

This requires you to edit the registry. Easier way is to do it via SKTools
