Very useful.
I used it for
- tracking luggage when travelling. Then I can sure, where my luggage is case lost or still at starting airport
- car. Parking overnight. able to keep track my car is still there
- car key. misplaced my key
- dog. useful to find my dog in case they run out of the house. it happened to me that I forget to close main gate and looking around for my dog and took me almost 2h. Now it is a must for my dog.

I’m curious with using it on dogs. any idea how to prevent them from bitting the the tag since the tag is quite big in size (for a dog)

While u are on the aircraft will you be able to tell if the AirTag is on the same plane?

there’s possibility but airtag signal is very weak when there are obstacles . Basically you will have issue finding the tag if there’s a thick wall or windows surrounding it.

sometimes get notification that i left the tag behind while i am looking right at it…lol

i never use airtag so i am not so sure.

but one thing even now my another iphone is way from me, i get notification on my master iphone. without the need of airtag.

Ah, i think you are referring to Geo-location function from the phone. It uses your phone’s wi-fi and service provider tower (eg digi, maxis etc) to give out your devices radius range.

The airtag uses ultra wide band and bluetooth signal .

It periodically sends out bluetooth signal to nearby iphones to tell where your tag location is. This would give out the Radius Range of the tag’s location, not precision location.

The ultra wide band is used for precision finding. You can trigger precision finding through app to look for your tag ( it’s a compass-like arrow that points you to your tag). Ultra wide band signal suppose to be able to go through walls but it just doesn’t work sometimes and you would need to still guess the location of the tag within a range.

4 AirTags bought last year… finally one got the notification to replace battery.

It’s the one I hid under a bicycle seat. All AirTags I would say I take and use frequently. But this under a plastic casing might use more battery.

I bought a wrist strap for the airtag, plan to use it on my kid during japan travel.

Wanna ask if my iphone will immediately send me notification if the tag is out of my phone detection range?
