if we get it from U Telecom or Astro, we will get the HD decoder. HDTV - built in tuner. HDTV ready no built in tuner

n yes we HAVE plenty of China mary LCD TVs and monitors . One, Chi Mei, Shinco, Haeir, Pensonic, Gelombang Cekal - GC (rebraned locally )

then the market could use some competition. westinghouse and verizo, although a step bellow them prime brands manage to give them some competition. sony misplaced their lcd tv prices and noone is buying them

Added on September 24, 2007, 4:42 ampadan muka liau. Sony still think their competitors are behind them technologically as 15years ago. Someone needs slap Sony to their sense that other brands are selling BETTER products at cheaper price !!

if i had more money, i would buy sharp aquous and not SOny. i dontknow why, their products are not appealing to the american consumers, while Malaysian consumers arent getting any bargain prices despite the advent of china brands.

the 50in pioneer plasmas are msrp at more expensive than some of the new kancil model lol go figure !!

only in Malaysia, tvs are more expensive than new cars while some cars are 2x or 3x the prices of houses !!

i believe Denki is selling the Pioneer 50in 1080p elite at MSRP nearly RM30K and marked down to retail RM19K

Sony just came out with a new 1080p W-series Bravia. The 40" KLV-40W300A is selling for RM9,999. I guess that's cheaper than most other 1080p brands locally. So now we have Sony n Philips 1080p lcdtvs below RM10k.

the Sony price is MSRP or retail price? the philips price is for 37in if i am not mistaken but that is the MSRP price. should be cheaper retail

Oooops it's 42" not 40". See in the pic above, it's already written what. The model is 37PFL7422, and the 42" is 42PFL7422 which retails for RM9,999.

i only realized mypetridish's 37" LCD size on that pic until i compared it with a ps2 on his table.. its friggin' huge!!
