My home also is affected by leaking. Sigh so much headache. How do you all locate the source of leaks?

May I ask what brand you used?

I used product from AE Multicoat.
Not sure they are still around or not.
This was way back 8-9 years ago.

The problem happens to my side wall next to the toilet. Weird thing is only lower part of the wall 20cm above the floor seems to be affected (paint bubbling). The rest of the wall looks fine.Attached Image

Silica sand for what ya bro? The Nippon epoxy just paint over the tiles? Is it clear paint? But as I understand, hacking and waterproofing will last even longer, provided the contractor does it the right way and not skimping here and there. lol. Usually waterproofing on concrete slab can last more than 20 years, i suppose. lol.  laugh.gif

silica for non skid.

first you paint tile primer
next epoxy ... ys ,, just paint use a roller . its color ed . you chose your color .
i am sure this will last more than 10 years.. or more . in 10 years if it leaks again just put a few more coats ...get fresh new look
you are puttin a heavy duty water proof layer. over the tiles and the sides...
it will never crack .

and so easy to DIY .

This is near the door. Shower is about 1.5m away from this point. The part of the wall that is facing the shower looks ok.

could be the pipe ?
because straight line. pipe leaking, then the water travel across the pipe line.

the damp cause a reaction on that cement/ paint surface. causing the paint to bubble out . my guess.

this need a redo with water proof cement

so.....you plan to hack all the tiles.

then water proof

then cement

then tile back up?

then have a place to discard all the broken tiles

normal office workers dont have the endurance nor strength to do hard labor work.

good luck.
*
normally how much does it cost?
