Versa vs standard chartered privillige saver saving account vs ocbc 360 saving account

Which one is giving higher returns?
*
If you can meet the bonus requirements (usually need to spend on their cards, pay a number of bills, make large fresh deposit, and invest/insure) consistently EVERY MONTH, choose the savings accounts as overall their interest rate higher.

If you want pure savings, Versa is better.

CMIIW, the payout day should be based on your deposit date. I deposited on 14th May so I can't compare, but looking at my payout, I think it's been a consistent ~14-day cycle

Why the heck does the iOS app keep logging me out every time I relaunch the app? Anyone have that problem?

Nope, its dependant on Affin Hwangs payout date, just that you happen to deposit near it 😂 it is a consistent around 14 day cycle as you've noted.

Thanks.... May 17 to May 27 only 10-day... interesting the May 13th was not really 14-day cut-off.
May 13th 2021 was Hari Raya actually.
So i guess postpone to next working day.

I'm planning the deposit to coincide with the payout date to get lower NAV (i.e. more units)

Don't bother. Distribution of unit trust are just marketing and won't do anything.

Don’t totally log out…I don’t, just leave the app alone and when I go back in , it scans my face for a quick recognition without needing my password …. iOS user here

Yeah that's what I did. I never logged off. But when I launch the app after some time it logs me out automatically and I have to enter my password again which is frustrating... doesn't happen all the time, maybe 75% of the time cry.gif hopefully isolated case that's fixed by app update soon

The difference is only 3 to 4 decimals of a ringgit laugh.gif the difference between 'low' NAV and 'high' NAV will make no significant difference to your profit unless you're depositing in hundreds of thousands and you're doing this for decades (if so, why on earth are you investing into MMFs like Versa which cannot beat inflation or even EPF minimum rate, MMFs should be strictly used for short term deposits)

No difference from 4 decimal fractional even buy at 1.1711 which is starting point with at least 12000 cash on hand doh.gif

That’s penny wise pound foolish and Versa it is only good for weekend and holiday interest otherwise why bother with it

Performance really drop early last month as I notice distribution in rates of 0.0008 per rm1 and if another rate cut is on the cards soon then better off putting it back SA Simple with the new funds instead doh.gif

Versa have a 1-2day delay on the bar "progress", so don't rely on it. Which is why you see your "gains" graph is not smooth with sometimes a few days delay before update.

Personally I'd consider SA Simple only if they update the withdrawal time to match Versa. Will see if SAMY changes their withdrawal process.

The problem is SA mechanism is to rigid as all would be the same withdrawal time frame doh.gif

Currently the NAV = RM 1.1715, 5.3 units is around RM 6.20
