now 3 has undergone MPA conversion in Indonesia
I can remember if the final number is 3 or 4 lupa dah

so 3 left, 1 is VIP transport while the other 2 is for utilities

There is a plan to fully utilise CN as MPA, tp sejauh mana plan tu x tau la.
Pasal apa MPA punya conversion sekarang pn US yang taja.

Charlie tu maintenance dia mmg on time, malah structure repairing pun boleh dibuat locally tu pasal dia boleh gi lama.

ps: kang tukar PTU tukar lagi la plan tuuu

Funded by US untuk program FMA dia, aku tak rasa those 3 MPA will be pencen by 2030

Since TD still needs 6x6 to fill the holes left by sibmas in our Armour doctrine

TD needs it, but it is still up to the gomen to procure it.

Gempita number is not as many as Condor+Sibmas combination
plus the role of Gempita is now much more because of the multi-variant task and role

6x6 in this case will be much more nimble compare to the 8x8

even though not as stable as Gempita the smaller size eans it is better to be use as recon and tank hunting which is used to be SIBMAS role in the past

the last time the Sibmas always go further then the condor in the jungle operation due to it better terrain capability and cockerill, Sibmas able to give some support fire as well hence the FSV role

Kalau kirakan Adnan dan Condor ada batasan dalam operasi masing2, they are not to replace each other but rather compliment one and another


I do acknowledge my knowledge on army is lacking, as I am not from this service
But remember, there is still gap of role left when sibmas was retired from the service
The first Gempita procurement of 257 unit was suppose to be the first batch, since then there is no news of 2nd batch whatsoever
so the 257 will need to filled the original 640+ original left by the phasing out of Condor and Sibmas
with 5th division reopened will 257 be enough?

I actually ask my colleague the same question since there already Lipan Bara in the service, but KS reps told that they did not just looking for domestic market only

it was planned to be several batch
same with the so called 6x6
I don't think that it was in the plan for procurement until later about 2016 when I heard the proposal towards mindef.

But for now my priority (or rather) is in the Air

Lipan bara is a project by Deftech and Chaiseri, I don't actually knows the details and quite surprise that it was even selected. For Malaysian used, we do not actually need more than level 2 stanag protection other wise we already brought in several batches of US MRAP when we are withdrawing from Afghanistan several years ago (yes the US offered the TD plenty)

mana2 major procurement semua ada offset between government involved

Dah tutup lama dah, bila menteri at that time cakap budget MMRCA sedia ada akan shift to MPA and UAV procurement. Tak silap aku before 2018.

Pasal UAV dulu 2018 finalize dah kontrak, siap dapat discount under US EDA lagi but then last minutes zaman menhan bodoh tu cancel kontrak ni. Jadi US counter offer dengan UCAV tapi dapat kat mangkuk tu senyap je. Last yang dapat UCAV to Taiwan, tapi Taiwan bayar harga penuh
I remember the price for that same UCAV Malaysia only have to pay about 1//3 je

byt the TALD are not made by Israel to be precise
