Just bought my girl this phone, CSL AP set, prolly Nokia SG [ from the extra online redemption voucher thrown in for free songs or what I forgot ], version is 8.30 oso [ I forgot, but the date on the phone when you check it is July 2008 ].

Nice slider feel, somewhat similar to my E65.

Picture, way better than E65! Ha!

Sound? Superb! Especially with the stereo widening!

Graphics not as sharp as my E65 [ but it's animated though ], and yeah, S40...so can't customise much like my E65's S60 3rd Edition.

Got it for RM 860.00, all original Nokia stuffs with the ori Nokia 1GB.

Overall, I'd say, a fun phone that's not too complex to use!

Oh yeah, she's enjoying it at the moment [ for someone who's used to Motorola's ].

We had sahur at 5am, at the children's park at her condo, with the 5610 playing jazz. Ha!

But now after getting to grips with my E65, she wants my phone instead. Complains that I can customise a lot of my phone and her phone can't, when I've told her to buy the new E66 instead of this, but she can't accept spending over RM 1k for a phone.

But still, she loves the phone!

....and yeah, she grabbed one of my Oakley sunglass bag to use as her phone's pouch [ and I was using it for my E65's pouch lol! ], lucky still got three of the 1st gen white label one!

Yea. Will be getting one for myself soon. However I have once heard someone from here did put in 8Gb and it works but, the phone only recognizes the memory card as a 4Gb one.

There is no keypad to that phone so it's a full fledged touch screen phone and of course there is a stylus

yeah..V8.30 is the latest..for RM-242
but not much..

bass sound has increased...
slide answering does not delayed anymore..
(old firmware has slide answering delay 2 seconds i guess)..

but2..
slide animation has gone @ slide sound has disappear..

there's more..but can't remember..huhu..
