whoaa..mine is v.06.60..
anyway, i want 2 comment bout problems the other user is facing here..

1) bout the screen goes blank for a 1 second n then back to normal again..i oso ncounter this prob b4, but after send my set to upgrade, rarely i ncounter d same prob ( more than 2 months already without d probs)..

2)b4, i was using v04.20, there is no dict there..now, v06.60, got dict, english-chinese..still cant use coz i dun understand chinese..huhu..

3)this is something i think has never mentioned b4..when i was using v04.20, the theme 4 music player only has red color bt i'm using a blue set..
when upgrade 2 v04.81, i'm able 2 use blue color theme 4 music player, realy grateful.. bt now, v06.60..back 2 red color theme..waaa..
want blue color theme for music player...

p/s: there's 1 major problem i encounter b4 n sent my hp 2 the shop to fix it..anyone interested..u can pm me..

last monday i bring my phone back to Action to repair my slide key and get replaced with a new 1 for FOC

what do you mean by crack?

My LCD screen got problem too...apparently it fell and the internal circuit got problem.
Repair it at shop costing me RM 120.

y nowadays got so many 5610 got problem 1? i have using for more than 1 yr but so far no major problem...

Depends on the owner & also luck....my sis phone already 1 year, no major problem just sometimes it hang coz my sis dropped it few months ago...still wish the batt can last longer..

new buy 5610xm AP set, go back home n test, found out that in Chinese massage typing i only can use "bo, po, mo, fo", but not like normal pin yin input, n also language only have English n Tradition Chinese only...

N also the headphone included is 3.5mm jack, but the phone using 2.5mm jack... WTF

any 1 of u have the problem with supportive files . nothing to display ? last few days ago .. i was sms-ing n then my phone suddenly hang n i cant close my phone so i had to take out my battery off n put in back .. after i on back my phone .. i cant open any games or application n its said supprotive files.nothing to display .. even my calculator also lost.. any idea ?

why after i update my firmware my memory card suddenly need a password to open it... HELP ME!! confius~!

Pros/Cons noticed so far

Sound :

Pros
- those annoyed poppop noice no longer exist, and bass becomes stronger than 4.81

- sounds like environment sound effects play fully and smoothly through the speaker now while 4.81 missing sometimes

Cons
- same as 6.60/7.12, bass gained too much will cause the sound to become muddy
(Solution : doesn't need to gain too much since bass already enough even if just the default setting now/turn off the stereo wideing feature)

Overall sound quality improved and more stable


Camera :

Pros
- AutoFocus speed improved

- flash light no longer causes objects to overexposed in macro shot

- brightness while focusing in progress becomes brighter just like what you see on the screen while finding views, this improved the autofocus efficiency much.

Cons
- overall brightness decreased, this make the screen hard to see while in strong light condition, exp. under bright sunlight

- screen flashing happened while in start and end of focusing

- autofocus seems increased too fast not like the smooth focus back to 4.81, feels like will breakdown the camera mechanism easily

- mechanical noices made out after capturing complete become less(2 for macro shot, 1 for other focus distance) but seems louder than b4

This part might considered improved but feel weird in some degree(feels like the style of 4.81 performed more pro than 8.30, i prefered the way 4.81 acting)


Some other changes:

- keypad no longer locked while operates in music player and fm radio

- same like 6.60/7.12, slider sound and animation no longer changed according to themes applied

- incoming sms no longer hang the phone if the music player is using the default theme

that's all figured out so far
i'm still working to explore more
