I came across the Panasonic 37LX75 model, is it a good LCD?
Mainly for watching DVD and Astro. I knew watching Astro on LCD will a bit blur compare to CRT, but currently only eyeing for LCD TV.
Any comment?

Currently, one of the best...

But then again, some say Sharp is better...

So what you do is bring your source...errr.. I mean a test DVD and borrow their player thats same as your house one and test, but make sure you test it with the same source....

If they have astro connected even better...since they are using same decoder.

Those mega electronic shops are mostly using HDHDD so picture very clear one...dun be fooled.

put my hard earned money on this model recently and glad to say i am thoroughly satisfied

the other models that was in contention was the tosh a3500e, sharp px5 and lglc7r

paired it with a philips 5986 and the PQ is absolutely wonderful

pm me if you need to know where is the best package to get this model....

happy shopping

cheers!!!

Actually,

What do ppl. mean about satisfied? I read many threads abt LCD/Plasma and most of them are satisfied..

It doesn't matter whether you take Sony, Sharp, LG, Panny, Tosh, Samsung etc...
I also satisfied with my 42' panny, even though it buzzes now and then...or looks abit old compared to the latest Samsung or LG.

Only when both competing units are side by side then only you can judge whether you like or dislike the set. So very important is before you buy the unit please do a comparison.
Manufacturers invest millions into making you satisfied and difference between them are minimal or subjective depending on personal taste.

But getting a branded, latest, top of the range gadget you 'probably' wont go wrong...

Infact, in you go China...ppl. will say wahh..you got a Konka set man...that awesome!

~xbox 360 price at RM 1650
~dvd movie price at RM10x per piece
~dvd games price at RM 10x per piece
~toshiba 37a3500e price at RM3500

the look on your friends faces when inviting them and they begin 2 say OMG!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~PRICELESS! thumbup.gif
Added on February 1, 2008, 3:19 amtoshiba 37a3500e is a good tv, when comparison side by side wth other high end tv its only have minimal difference wth a lot lesser price. tought of going 32 in" sharp or pana700 100hrtz, but wth the nearly same price i can get bigger screen, bigger is better.
For me, 50hrtz/100hrtz, only a gimmick, might have a difference but wth high power observation. seriously, who do that unless you are a)pengkritik or b)geek or c)have screen more thn 50".
After buying the tv, plug wth xbox360 only knowing that the cable is the composite cable(y,r,w). The PQ look like sh*t. Then run like btwn madness and sanity to find shop tht sale hd av cable, which aren't close yet for CNY. The result, is very satisfactory.
They are something which i need to ask, why while playing cod4, i notice a glowing to the text. by the way the tv can only receieve until 1080i signal and anybody got a setting for optimizing this tv.
in the end, i ask myself, after i work my as* working for months :
WHT HAVE I DONE!!! laugh.gif
Best Denki sell Sharp 32" A53M @ RM31xx... whereby Harvey Norman sell RM34xx, HSL sell RM3280.... so much different... i think the reason why the cost is so different is becoz warranty years.. some 2 years some more than 3 years.. what you guys think.. should i concern about the warranty?
Anyone spot it will a lower price? Is all dvd player also can plug that HDMI cable? shall i take my dvd player and went there to test..? will it make any difference... i wonder those Best Denki place allow me to do that or not...
Err... the reason I am interested in this model (panny 37") because I go to one shop to see LCD. The Sharp one appeared to bit blur while Panny 37" one is much more clear.
They are showing some DVD picture at that time.
I also heard a lot of people said Sharp is good but when I saw the picture on Sharp one, it can't convince me to buy it. I don't know it is the DVD problem or signal split problem.
burn mark will not happened unless u hav still image display plays on ur plasma more than 12 hour (i m refer to the forever retention image but not the temporary one), especially forgetting to off your tv after turning off the astro , or leave ur tv on with pc display without screen saver or pausing your game for the whole days....
different outlets including the harvey and best give a different price and discount, you might find the different when comparing the best denki in klcc with time square or summit subang due to many reasons unless u wait and count your fingertips for their roadshow on certain brands....of course the deal will be better. IF YOU PLAN TO GET FROM BEST, aim for their insanity promotion , 5 yrs warranty with every rm1000 purchased rebate RM100 for all lcd/plasma - it is the cheapest of all in town with installment plan as well.....
HSL might not be reliable but their toshi brand offers an insanity price especially during the roadshow as i heard HSL have a better margin and cost price with them.....so whenever u walk into their outlet,you will find they will recommend toshi rather than other brands.....but too bad for toshi as they refuse to get oem for the 100 hertz for their low range lcds.....
other than you can check with jusco especially their roadshow price or JJ day.....
pana 750 mk indeed is good as it has the combination of tech shared from the ips panel and 100 hzt as well as backlight control which reduce it glaring effect and gives a better black display tongue.gif
but too bad i heard it is going to discontinue as poor response from the market......
cheers*
Im looking for a new 42" preferably 100Hz LCD TV with 1080p with a budget around rm6000-rm7000. Can recommend me which brand to buy?
So far many salesman reccomend me the Philips PHP7432 model,but i prefer the more trusted brand like Toshiba so what do you guys think?
how about sharp 42A83M, if i remember the spec correctly
sorry wasn't paying attention to the budget
philips has the cheapest full HD panel at the moment
but if i'm not mistaken, LG has a model out recently that matches it for price
