must be the good rams that enable fylon to clock high speeds.shouldn't be a problem to reach 250FSB
btw, what chips are those PDP on? |

QUOTE(fylon @ Oct 29 2007, 10:45 PM) Haha.. Just away for few hrs then thread is flooded. ooh.TCCD.sweeet chips man.if albert can hit 260mhz 250mhz for you is no problem About my system.. Hm.. Yup! Last time 3.0E was using CL3.. And now was uisng 2.5.. Thats why the PI score boost up alot. As for my current proc, i think it shouldnt be a problem to push until 250mhz FSB. As for now, i just using the stock voltage for both vcore and vdimm. P/s: Ray, thanks for help me update my new system information. Added on October 29, 2007, 10:47 pm@Pengster The PDP was using TCCD chip. Thats why it can run high speed but stay in low vdimm. Haha.. Its ex-owner albert did 260mhz (if im not mistaken) with this kit @ 3-4-4-8 @ 2.8v vdimm eh. But anyways, i has been told by albert not to fried this kit with add more then 2.7v. a little update : now trying to run at 2.7Ghz stable with 1.525v core,2.8v rams and 1.7v agp.do you guys think its safe? |

QUOTE(sang_karim @ Nov 2 2007, 03:23 PM) yeah i think so too.but what to do?not stable what. QUOTE(kabukiawie @ Nov 2 2007, 03:30 PM) @fylon haha i wouldn't want to spend any more money on this rig adi lah.my dad wont approve too, says waste of money thanks. not to say the xp120 no use. maybe next time when change rig can pinday also ma. now keeping it cool down my stock speed. use stock HFS bising la. my case not full tower, giant cooler cant put in. @haha67 welcome. @pengster blonely have 2.8ghz on sale, pm him la. who knows you have good offer from him and rock your rig to the next level. @blonely your 2.8 is C? E? A? QUOTE(KahLooN @ Nov 2 2007, 05:33 PM) @haha67 right now my NB is on stock cooling.i doubt that's sufficient.I guess the 7600gs should be not a problem, perhaps you can try OC your proc to get a better result. BTW, what GC are you using now? @pengster I guess if you have suffcient cooling to the NB, it should be fine. The VAGP is feed to the NB for stabilization. and even on 1.7v vagp,my com still BSODs after a couple hours of gaming. |

QUOTE(fylon @ Nov 4 2007, 12:41 AM) @pengster well i got it for RM75 for temporary use Haha.. Powerlogic wasnt a cap palang PSU eh. Even 300W also its a quality type. My cap palang were refer to those 500W under RM80 type. QUOTE(overclockalbert @ Nov 4 2007, 07:30 AM) @pengster, yeah i plan to get the OP650 since it has the 8pin PCIE connector so its alittle future proof, but its freaking expensive.rm600+ for a PSU,my dad will kill me. your current setup will only consume more or less below 500W. your ideal PSU will be anything rated 500W or 550W. go for that with true power type. if u going for future proof, get the OP650 ,maybe last u for a year, instead, get the 850W true power rating PSU. peace of mind. QUOTE(kabukiawie @ Nov 4 2007, 12:49 PM) but its quite weird that he got this problem. if im not mistaken,i did format my PC when i changed to the 6800GS.and now im using the latest official drivers from Nvidia.so i dont know how that could cause the BSODs.and i dont see any leftover ATI drivers.hmm.i know my proc can reach higher than 2.7Ghz cause i managed 2.88Ghz last time before i used the 6800GS and before my PSU exploded @pengster how long you didnt format your pc?? if you have time, try set back to stock speed and fresh install windows. When everything is fine, you start to oc slowly till you hit the wall. just my 2 cents. i believe your cpu can get near 3GHz. good luck. |

QUOTE(kabukiawie @ Nov 4 2007, 06:47 PM) @pengster im not sure leh.didnt really read what it says.got pissed off and just restarted the comp and pumped more volts hmm....so weird if like that. what message does ti says in BSOD?? less_or_not_equal? or page_on_non_page_area? or driver error?? like i said, try reformat once again. i face this problem before when upgrading driver. i didnt unstall the driver completely then it cause some instability problem. Before updating driver, better use forceware remover(or something like that) to remove gc driver. normally uninstall using control panel there is not so 'clean'. some still in registry, system folder, temp folder etc. Correct me if i am wrong. @herojack41 better get the gc according to your need. unless you have a very powerful system and enough cash, then get the 79series or 1950pro will be great. or else, buy the mid-end gc like 76gt/gs, 68gs/gt card. i believe they can serve you well with the cash you paid without having much cpu bottleneck. hunt your gc at garage section. Nowadays its quite hard to get new agp card(almost to muzium already). @fylon you there still have 79gs?? QUOTE(fylon @ Nov 4 2007, 09:02 PM) @KahLooN im using Ceramique Haha.. Not really. But since im working at pc shop.. More or less can help them spy abit on the item there were looking for. |

Yeah back to 2.61Ghz.what to do.lol i think the BSODs might be caused by the graphic card drivers like you all said.im not so sure yet.ooh okay im gonna get a tube of MX2 soon By the, whats ur 68GS score in 3dmark03? Since ur mem & core speed are faster then mine. my 3Dmark03 at 475/1300 is 10698 and 3Dmark05 is 4155. |

nah.no point upgrading your proc if you can OC your proc till 3Ghz+
and for your graphic card,it differs from card to card.some might be lucky and get a really oc-able card some might not.so you'll have to try out yourself. |

QUOTE(fylon @ Nov 8 2007, 01:15 PM) @kevinwcw yeah. Yea. No point to upgrade the processor if ur on ur mind to OC. Squeeze til the last drop of ur proc!! @Pengster Seems like both of us are having back card then. @herojack41 It means the efficiency of the PSU. The higher the efficiency means the better power output of the PSU. Correct me if im wrong. QUOTE(herojack41 @ Nov 8 2007, 01:27 PM) fylon...can help me count da most exact wat kinda PSU i need...when i go to that calculator....he recommend me 265watt PSU.... = =!! get the Silverstone Strider 400w or 500w.it should be enough for your rig.rm169 for the 400w version and rm299 for the 500w version. |
