About my system.. Hm.. Yup! Last time 3.0E was using CL3.. And now was uisng 2.5.. Thats why the PI score boost up alot. As for my current proc, i think it shouldnt be a problem to push until 250mhz FSB. As for now, i just using the stock voltage for both vcore and vdimm. brows.gif If add a little more vcore & vdimm i should able to hit that.

P/s: Ray, thanks for help me update my new system information. notworthy.gif

Added on October 29, 2007, 10:47 pm@Pengster

The PDP was using TCCD chip. Thats why it can run high speed but stay in low vdimm. Haha.. Its ex-owner albert did 260mhz (if im not mistaken) with this kit @ 3-4-4-8 @ 2.8v vdimm eh. But anyways, i has been told by albert not to fried this kit with add more then 2.7v. laugh.gif Promised him to take good care of this ram thou. whistling.gif
*
ooh.TCCD.sweeet chips man.if albert can hit 260mhz 250mhz for you is no problem laugh.gif 4Ghz babyy laugh.gif

a little update : now trying to run at 2.7Ghz stable with 1.525v core,2.8v rams and 1.7v agp.do you guys think its safe? unsure.gif

@haha67
welcome. smile.gif not so bottleneck IMO.whats the score of 3dmark03?? if >11k then its not bad already. wink.gif

@pengster

your 2.8 is C? E? A? tongue.gif

I guess the 7600gs should be not a problem, perhaps you can try OC your proc to get a better result. BTW, what GC are you using now? smile.gif
@pengster
I guess if you have suffcient cooling to the NB, it should be fine. The VAGP is feed to the NB for stabilization. smile.gif
*
right now my NB is on stock cooling.i doubt that's sufficient.

and even on 1.7v vagp,my com still BSODs after a couple hours of gaming. doh.gif really unstable lah.

*
yeah seems like it.at speeds below 2.7Ghz no problems or BSODs.somehow i suspect its my PSU thats causing this.cause before im able to run at 2.7Ghz stable with a cap ayam PSU.of course that time i was on my 9550 lah,not on the power hungry 6800 laugh.gif

*
lol sorry what i meant was last time when i used a Powerlogic Magnum 300w temporarily cause i sent my FMA for RMA,i managed 2.7Ghz stable.now that i've got my Enermax FMA back,2.7Ghz also cant reach. sad.gif and not GT but GS laugh.gif its all in my siggy.haha.

@KahLoon
yeah i am planning to get a better PSU.either the OP650 or ST560 if no budget laugh.gif

@kabukiawie
yeah my 9550 is still around.just that its in my friend's house laugh.gif and i dont wanna use back that card cause then i wont be able to game happily.haha

Haha.. Powerlogic wasnt a cap palang PSU eh. Even 300W also its a quality type. My cap palang were refer to those 500W under RM80 type. laugh.gif Hm.. Have u ever try with change ur GC and OC again? Might be ur 68GS consuming too much power?
*
well i got it for RM75 for temporary use laugh.gif standard power rating 600w,pure power rating 300w doh.gif but also not stable when i used the 6800GS and oc-ed both my cpu and gpu.

QUOTE(overclockalbert @ Nov 4 2007, 07:30 AM)
@pengster,

your current setup will only consume more or less below 500W.

your ideal PSU will be anything rated 500W or 550W.

go for that with true power type. if u going for future proof, get the OP650 ,maybe last u for a year, instead, get the 850W true power rating PSU. peace of mind.
*
yeah i plan to get the OP650 since it has the 8pin PCIE connector so its alittle future proof,but its freaking expensive.rm600+ for a PSU,my dad will kill me. laugh.gif

QUOTE(kabukiawie @ Nov 4 2007, 12:49 PM)
but its quite weird that he got this problem. hmm.gif

@pengster
how long you didnt format your pc?? tongue.gif i afraid that is the gc driver that make BSOD. this maybe the issue as you are switching from ATi to Nvidia.

if you have time, try set back to stock speed and fresh install windows. When everything is fine, you start to oc slowly till you hit the wall. just my 2 cents. icon_rolleyes.gif

i believe your cpu can get near 3GHz. good luck. biggrin.gif
*
if im not mistaken,i did format my PC when i changed to the 6800GS.and now im using the latest official drivers from Nvidia.so i dont know how that could cause the BSODs.and i dont see any leftover ATI drivers.hmm.i know my proc can reach higher than 2.7Ghz cause i managed 2.88Ghz last time before i used the 6800GS and before my PSU exploded laugh.gif

hmm....so weird if like that. what message does ti says in BSOD?? less_or_not_equal? or page_on_non_page_area? or driver error??

like i said, try reformat once again. i face this problem before when upgrading driver. i didnt unstall the driver completely then it cause some instability problem. Before updating driver, better use forceware remover(or something like that) to remove gc driver. normally uninstall using control panel there is not so 'clean'. some still in registry, system folder, temp folder etc. Correct me if i am wrong. tongue.gif

@herojack41
better get the gc according to your need. unless you have a very powerful system and enough cash, then get the 79series or 1950pro will be great. or else, buy the mid-end gc like 76gt/gs, 68gs/gt card. i believe they can serve you well with the cash you paid without having much cpu bottleneck. hunt your gc at garage section. Nowadays its quite hard to get new agp card(almost to muzium already).

@fylon
you there still have 79gs?? brows.gif just asking only~~ huhu.....maybe raymond will get 1. wahaha...jk jk tongue.gif
*
im not sure leh.didnt really read what it says.got pissed off and just restarted the comp and pumped more volts laugh.gif now running at 2610mhz.stable. smile.gif

Just wanna do some survey. laugh.gif I was using AS MX-2.. Seems not bad.. Could keep my Prescott stay 39-41'c on idle (depend on weather).

It was b2b order from my work place. laugh.gif I do see some forumer here is selling it, but include postage the price is higher then i bought at local here. So i choose to buy at here.. Cost me RM45.. But the quantity alot.. Worth the $$~ Hehe..

By the, whats ur 68GS score in 3dmark03? Since ur mem & core speed are faster then mine. hmm.gif
*
Yeah back to 2.61Ghz.what to do.lol i think the BSODs might be caused by the graphic card drivers like you all said.im not so sure yet.ooh okay im gonna get a tube of MX2 soon biggrin.gif

my 3Dmark03 at 475/1300 is 10698 and 3Dmark05 is 4155. smile.gif

@overclockalbert

Hah.. By then, i dint know that my card were pre-OC. As the previous owner din tell me about that also. But i had searched over the internet then foudn the clarification. sweat.gif Yeap.. Agreed with u! The Pre-OC card cannot OC too much. Like mine.. Artifacts found when OC more then >5%.

By then guys.. Make the deal with AllnGap. Ordered 2 100mm to 90mm Acrylic Fan adapter. Cost me RM35 for those two adapter + shipping. laugh.gif Wanna make sandwich cooling.
*
yeah will get a tube of the MX2 when i go shopping laugh.gif just downloaded the latest WHQL certified drivers and im gonna try that and see if i still get BSODs. smile.gif

nah.no point upgrading your proc if you can OC your proc till 3Ghz+ smile.gif waste money nia.

and for your graphic card,it differs from card to card.some might be lucky and get a really oc-able card some might not.so you'll have to try out yourself.

Seems like both of us are having back card then. biggrin.gif Pre-OCed card cant clocked much. As it had been push to almost to the limit of the components already. sad.gif

@herojack41

It means the efficiency of the PSU. The higher the efficiency means the better power output of the PSU. Correct me if im wrong.

yeah. sad.gif from default clocks of 450/1300 i'm able to reach 480/1300 max oc only.maybe its because of my PSU tongue.gif

get the Silverstone Strider 400w or 500w.it should be enough for your rig.rm169 for the 400w version and rm299 for the 500w version. smile.gif
