Selamat Hari Raya. haha....today is your last day puasa. huhuhu.....should be very excited liao. XD

@raymond
yours perform better than mine. Mild oc on this mobo is not a problem. but to extreme really a nono. like >250fsb, high vdimm/vcore etc all quite hard on this mobo. what to do, cant aspect more than its price tag. wink.gif
*
even for my northwood 200FSB also quite impossible to reach.might be due to other reasons tho.hahaha

QUOTE(fylon @ Oct 12 2007, 01:32 PM)

but then when i increase it to 3.0Ghz, windows wont boot doh.gif  Is there any chance for me to hit 3.0Ghz? hmm.gif
*
whoa thats not bad already.btw your proc is 2.4B?hmm.so far mine can go 2.8Ghz highest last time.now 2.7Ghz also cant doh.gif

try increasing the vagp and vdimm.that should help alittle.

@ac_N1
add a bit to vcore. now what vcore are you running at 2.9?? if your mobo able  to adjust the vagp, up a bit to 1.6V(correct me if i am wrong). then try it out again.

@pengster
how about yours?? you have almost everything ready but not much progress. hmm....as you mentioned about the vcore and vagp, have you tried increase a bit?? for ram i dont think it hold you back as you not even touch the stock speed yet(if you are running at 1:1).

btw, whats the divider you are currently running?? if 4:5 then set it to 1:1. i think yours can go beyond 3ghz. wink.gif
*
yeah i've increased all the volts.vdimm up to 2.7v,vcore up to 1.55v from 1.525v,and vagp up to 1.6v from 1.5.but still not stable at 2.7Ghz doh.gif crashes when im doing some intensive stuff like gaming.and yeah my ram's running at 1:1 ratio.

so for now im stuck at 2.62Ghz but no more BSODs or crashes.thats why im suspecting my PSU not good as before. sad.gif

edit : used to be able to push up to 2.88Ghz with the MSI mobo about 1 year ++ ago.

@pengster, your case might as well your ram not getting enuf vdimm.
try pump 2.85v and see how.
happy holiday to all.
*
but my rams are running way below stock speed wor laugh.gif i'll try it anyway.

haha....all raya mood already la. if you lonely, go to your muslim friends' house, eating curry together. wink.gif

@pengster
i think for northwood its safe push till 1.6v, for 2.7 vdimm its fine as it still operating below stock speed. i suspect that it lack of vcore at that speed. Just  my 2 cents. tongue.gif
*
scary to push till 1.6v lah.too hot.haha last time i used 1.575v for vcore,2.68v for vdimm to reach 2.7Ghz on the P4P800x.

idle's around 37c idle and 45c load if im not mistaken.prolly due to the bad airflow of my capalang case.

as long as the temp wont exceed 55C then it should be fine IMO. if you are scare of overheat, make sure that it wont exceed 50C, then you still have some space to push.wink.gif

@fylon
congrates
p4p800se is not low profile la. its quite ocable. how about the 2.8E you mentioned before?? 3.0C also can oc to 3.6GHz coz of the 30cap helps.
*
yeah but i dont like high temps.and with the fan not directly above me,it gets really hot when im gaming. sweat.gif all the hot air from my case escapes and heats me up laugh.gif

@edministrator and kabukiawie
the funny thing is, when i run single channel with either 1 of the ram, it works, i can boot in windows at 2.7vdimm timing 2-3-3-7, but whenever i try to run dual channel, it cant boot windows, then if i try single channel with both ram, i can boot in windows but that also hv to restart a feew times with that configuration and when it log into windows also nt stable, prime wif sp2004 after 48min 1 proc fail (i run 2 sp2004, HT mah)

@fylon
mmmm, mayb u ar right coz sometimes when i wanna restart wif dual channel, gt warning say system32 (some file missing - gt write the file name but i forgot ad)
mayb i'll try format my com after my finals

btw, would my mobo and psu be the fault for this? coz my mobo max vdimm cn gv is 2.7V, cant go higher than that, normal vdimm 2.6V, if i add +0.2 or +0.3, the vdimm still shows at 2.6V, if i add 0.1V only cn gt 2.7V
then my psu also nt real power 1
*
i have the same problem as yours when i used my 2x KVR400s on my P4P800x.cant get it to boot up on DC.had to use back my old DDR266 and one of the DDR400 then only can boot up. doh.gif

Hi, I need some recommendation of heatsink fan for my P4 3.0HT processor. Now I know the fan noise is from the stock processor heatsink fan. I have a 8cm fan to suck out hot air at the back of my chassis but it's still noisy. I plan to change the heatsink fan for the processor so I need some advice from pro here. Any good quiet heatsink fan below RM150?

And 1 thing, is it easy to install?

Thanks in advance. Cheer and Happy Raya.

if you can,try to find some secondhand Thermalright XP90C or XP120 in garage sales.if not the SI-120 like what kabukiawie's using is very good too. smile.gif

@fylon
