@herojack41
Doesnt means u PM then u got get the cooler right? Its on ur choice anyways. @raymond5105 Yea. I agreed with Pengster. What im trying to say is the OC ability for Northwood and Prescott is different. Prescott is newer then Northwood and it can be push harder then Northwood. |

Haha.. Well well.. Luck is always with me. @Ray Hm.. Tried dy. Nothing much can expect actually. That game really need high processing power component. I guess if S478 wanna play it, gota set the setting to mid or low in order to get a good gameplay screen. |

New GC calling already.. @carlito Welcome to the club. By then, between overclocking and PCI-E, i will choose OC instead. As most of the PCI-e did not use Intel chip. Hard to OC. @Edmin Wah.. Wanna torture ya rigs? |

Haha.. Hit 4ekor then upgrade LCD or sound system better. New rigs not worth it la.. Oct core is comming soon. Current quad will be phased out again. Change something that can stand longer time better.

If ur using P4 EE then i believe CPU-Z will shown it as Gallatin core. Otherwise, if normal P4 proc with ended with C class will be shown as Northwood codename. @blonely So ur moving to dark side? |

Woa.. Just few hours away and thread got flooded again.
@Ray The 79GS that available at my place here is the 256mb version. But i think is sufficient already unless ur running it on hugh LCD such like 24' inch a above then u might consider getting the bigger ram size. As the performance as same. I ever plan to get a 79GS but end up with 68GT. Haha.. But im not too much on gaming, getting this monster card still a myth! @Kabu Hm.. I though i saw 85GT AGP version on this forum before? Or i see wrong.. @blonely Haha.. The price that u saw for Galaxy 79GS is killing. I get can it below RM520. Edit: Typing error. This post has been edited by fylon: Nov 12 2007, 07:42 PM |

Haha.. My 68GT still rocking eh! @blonely Well.. Sin u had decided. Than just go for it. As for ur rigs.. Roughly u will get around: Proc RM100-150 (None HT proc cant fetch high price) Mobo RM100-120 (Depend, i sold mine for RM110 last time) GC RM100-120 (Depend on its 64bit or 128bit) The most u can fetch for all ur hardware wont exceed RM450. U still have to top up for ur new system. |

Haha.. Anyways, if me i think stick with S478 still a wise decision. C2D stuff still not so matured yet. Thing getting updated too often. P35 chip out not till half a year and X38 chasing at the back. Now, X38 appear in the market not till 3 months intel had announce that next year summer X48 will be available. No point to grab C2D now. Well.. Thats my 2cent. Maybe u can spare around RM300-450 budget for urself to upgrade ya current system. Just grab a HT proc for better processing speed, a better mobo perhaps if u wanna OC. Then lastly a GC if u wanna gaming. By then way, why dont try to hunt for nvidia card? A 7600GT will do for decent gaming details. AFAIK, x1650xt not so powerful then 76GT. U may refer to the chart below: ![]() @herojack41 Did u try to find at garage sales? I though there are alot of seller bringing palit products? Yeah.. Good GC consume alot of voltage. So prepare a better PSU. @raymond5105 Yup! Atleast 68GT has 16pipepline & 6 vertex shader. I think is almost enough for decent gaming details. Ofcause, dont ask for full high detail. As for now, even a 8800GTS also cant support full detail in certain. Perhaps, need SLi to fully shown out the game details. 85GT? Yeap. More or less on par with 73GT la. I think those OC version 73GT still do better then 85GT. The different just their technology used. DX9.0c and DX10. But well.. No point to get it as well. Since DX10.1 is out soon. @kabukiawie Yeah. I heard before. Forgot where i saw the article already. But then, until now still no news. Just get a call from my fren.. My TT BT will arrived either is today or 2mrw..
@herojack41 Well.. Put sometime on ur hunting. Be patient.. Nothing can be done in a click. Perhaps, open a thread says that u wanna buy which type of GC and state down ur offer. I think that will speed up ur hunting season. |

Haha.. Well.. Just i learnt from my working place here actually. Hanged with those supplier then get know about all these thing. Just to share here. So everyone will know about the pro and con's of the product. Just dont grab it blindly. Otherwise will regret.
Hm.. The price for 2600PRO Agp is almost the same as 79GS. RM490-510. In between. But well.. It GeCube card. Not bad thou.. Atleast with my current OC system i could hunt down 13k 3Dmark03 with my 68GT. Not bad already. |

Yea.. Almost the same. But i think 79GS still leading in gaming due of the 256bits of memory interface. HD2600PRO only comes with 128bit. And its also depend on which game are u going to play on. Currently almost 85% of the game in the market still using DX9. So i think, 79GS still can last for another few years life. @Sang Yea. Raymond has explained about the 3Dmark thinggy. Its just like benchmark software for GC. Like what we did for CPU stress with Orthors or StressPrime. Same thing, just it been used for different hardware. Always, the higher score the better the performance. P/s: Its necessary to discuss abit about GC since we are going to use this old school to do gaming. Yea. Agreed with Ray's word. Actually i was once a ATi user for quite sometime. But at the end, i still feel like nvidia did more better then ATi.
@Edmin Haha.. Well well.. Thanks for the correction! @Kabu Yup.. Either is today or 2mrw. Still waiting. And i still gotta wait another 1 week before can let got the Hyper6 due to the fan adapter hasn't been made. This post has been edited by fylon: Nov 13 2007, 11:06 AM |

Haha.. Yeap! Way too expensive. Nearly 1k for 1 an AGP card. Dont think is worth to get. As for me, i think it should be the ATI driver problem yet not the hardware.
