QUOTE(loserguy @ Mar 2 2021, 12:36 PM) How long have you had the Gree units? Any breakdowns other than normal servicing? I am still considering changing. already 8 months in use , 1 unit daily 6 to 12 hours . my normal set temp 25 to 26 Deg i would say can put in buy list . and a buy if price is great . it has plasma air and iFeel feature . i wanted to try the iFeel feature in a hall .. it works great I FEEL is one of the unique features , where a temperature sensor is built into the remote controller. When activated, the ‘I FEEL' mode will maintain the set temperature where the remote controller is located. This allows more temperature control wherever you may be located. ie Localise cooling . a few other china branded AC has this feature. bjy8138 liked this post

QUOTE(Lanchio @ Mar 2 2021, 11:44 AM) Are you sure . Google say this ! The York brand has been owned since August 2005 by Johnson Controls, when it was sold to them for $3.2 billion. At the time of the acquisition, it was the world's largest independent manufacturer of air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration machinery. |

QUOTE(Lanchio @ Mar 2 2021, 10:44 AM) wow... oh wow....YORK is bought by Johnson Controls now all their AC units are manufactured in China. even their chillers also on a side note, DAIKIN & ACSON shares the same factory in malaysia. hence, the same remote control, and same wifi technology. actually almost everything the same, only cosmetics differences |

Treat it like a mobile phone - after 3-5 years max change to a new model.
You happy, the manufacturer is even happier !! |

QUOTE(Momo33 @ Mar 2 2021, 11:23 AM) please validate your statement . An ex owner of 2 Daikin AC, 1hp. Bought because it's dirt cheap. Both leak like mad, cooling coil freezes a few times and looses wind the moment the blade is slightly coated with dust. After totally the cost of servicing and cleaning, I think it cost me more than any Daikin, you dont know what you saying better to keep silent than expose been a fool Momo33 liked this post

The ROI from inverter easily earn back. https://www.lazada.com.my/products/hitachi-...5421424354.html Hitachi RAS-X10CJ BTU/h : 9,730 (2,047-11,500) 5* ST 2/10 warranty More detail can see here https://www.homeappliances.hitachi.com/my/p...e_catalogue.pdf The only thing, this is not latest (Gen 2 R32 inverter) from Hitachi. This is the previous model Gen 1 R32 that's why the btu rating very powerful. For the price its certainly cheaper than any other Jap brand inverter at 9700 btu class (many so so design at 9000-9200 btu, cost cutting). Even the current CKM series spec lose to this (CJ series) spec. ---- Gree GWC09ACC 9000btu only Acson A3LC10F 8800btu / A3LC10FN 9500btu Daikin FTV28P / RV28F-3WM-G1F 9500btu This post has been edited by ceo684: Mar 2 2021, 08:06 PM |

Hence that's why I said you can easily earn back the ROI in OPEX (running cost) in very short while. This post has been edited by ceo684: Mar 2 2021, 08:14 PM Newgen liked this post

Since you are installing 9 units, consider how many of the units you will often use and how many units are only for occasional/situational basis. Some area in the house you will install AC as decoration but will never really use it, maybe less than 10 times a year.
I'm using 2 premium inverter from Panasonic. Upfront cost is expensive and more expensive than any other brands but operating cost is cheap and I've saved more on my bill comparing to previous usage. Upgraded from 2 HP total to 4 HP total yet saved more on energy bill. |
