Gree or Midea is fine for the budget minded, it will serve its intended purpose. Just remember to always service them at least once every six (6) months.
I have leak coil issues with york, daikin, panasonic & midea.
Components is more or less just that popular brands like pana will be easier to source out for spare parts.

am using gree.

besides the ridiculously cheap pricepoint, i'd got no negative comments.
sound wise i agree that it may seems louder than others. the wind sound but it's tolerable to me and my fmaily.

never bother about spare parts as electronics is better to be changed than repair.
and gree pricepoint is so cheap

Hey guys,

need some recommendation between this 2 wellknown brands. Planning to get the R32 version.  I know Daikin is more famous and widely use but recently i heard Gree is doing pretty damn well for its price point. I need to fit in 9 units in my house. So should i go for only 1 of this brand or maybe i should mix around?

any current user here care to share their input on this?

thanks everyone thumbup.gif

Depends a lot on luck. Some will last long. Some die just after warranty expires.

Try panasonic at Senheng. Current promo Deluxe inverter 1 hp inclusive installation for rm1620. If you can claim the 200 rebate can become rm1420. Since you want 9 ac unit only one unit can get the 200 rebate.

I got 1.5hp deluxe inverter panasonic for 1700 inclusive installation.

Apparently both daikin and panasonic got standard and deluxe inverter. Pana got another tier which is primier.

Usually at the c bend at the left side of evaporator coil. Usually at the lower c bend rather than upper.

Usually extremely hard to braze the join to seal the leak. Better change aircon.

But you still need to see other factors e.g. if it is an inverter model, what is the temperature outside and what is your set temperature etc.

Even though the air cond is rated as 1.5 hp, it doesn't mean you are drawing all 1.5 hp all the time.

Personally, I estimate one of my 1 hp air cond units to use ~RM50 per month.

Try and let us know what it is like for you?

All aircond are the same just difference between noises of thier compressors and cooling power

Non inverters compressor are louder than inverters

Other than that all same

Owned Pana, Hisense, Midea, Sharp, Haier, Hitachi

How long have you had the Gree units? Any breakdowns other than normal servicing? I am still considering changing.
