QUOTE(mydragoon @ Jan 10 2025, 03:58 PM) not surprised if there is such a charge. but usually if you proceed with repairs, it can be negotiated. I repaired at Smart Phone repair outlet at damansara uptown for rm280 with 6 months warranty. Apparently, my mobo has issue and the technician there said Poco has many such issues.

Hey ya been using my K40 Gaming since 2021, had dropped the phone (mostly on accident) shattered the screen and replaced the screen many times but now the right side "slider" for trigger button can't open fully, the previous shop that replaced my screen helped diagnose it, said there is metal bar on the inside phone already got bent and he can't help fix it although still can use the right side trigger button but the feeling & the clicking sound really "trigger" your ADHD Anyone had tried sending their phone to fix this slider before? If yes usually it costs about how much?

WTA: did they reformat phone after changing the battery? Or can just change the battery without needing to do factory reset or whatever. Thinking of changing my F3 battery soon at xiaomi SC as well

Thinking of changing my F3 battery soon at xiaomi SC as well u can request them not to factory wipe. coz it's just battery change. so ya, can just change battery without having to wipe/ format phone. but of coz they will tell you that in case got some issues with motherboard... then that's a diff story. though unlikely this will happen la. when i changed the battery, no wipe. everything was back to normal. just i have new battery on the phone

QUOTE(ikram_p @ Sep 28 2024, 03:12 PM) Same with me, suddenly it when kaput.. since release year, everything is excell. Luckily it give me one last breath to reboot and back up to cloud. My bff... We been together, i nvr regret using it. As cloud will back up almost everything, if phone kaput before cloning. I think they are using mid quality to sell mid range phone. In electronic there are grade on every parts we are using. is there any apps to do a auto backup for everything. i thinking to upgrade to next phone but the thought of all the video, pictures all mess up put me on hold now.

At least this time I gonna fix it myself rather than sending it over repair for RM400. I also found a battery replacement on Lazada, branded NOHON for RM90 but maybe for next time I guess. Had attempted to fix the trigger button on my own while replacing screen, but the metal pieces for the inside look all in place, still couldn't find what caused the trigger not fully open. Guess I'll just ignore it since still useable.

recently noted my f3's battery is starting to get bloated, and xiaomi service centre replied they no longer carry parts for this model since it's already EOL
did a google search and found several posts mentioning they switched from the BM4Y original battery to NOHON BM53 battery anyone here manage to do this to their f3, especially while still on stock HyperOS rom?
cos other than the battery the performance of the phone actually still meets my need, no reason to change
