well, now buying mbp is not "worth" it cos it going to update sooner, pretty soon since penryn mobile processor arrival. If you buy at last Nov, I would say it much worth it than now. wink.gif Just my 2cent

Whats up with Apple Malaysia marking up the prices of their product? I just checked out the MBPro (15") and the price over here is about 500 USD more than the US pricing with Edu discount (1800 USD) -- even the singapore store is marked up by about 300 USD -- with that amount of extra money I could buy an ipod.

Completely ridiculous with the price inflation -- and I heard there is no computer tax over here?

i got my mbp in less than 3 weeks ago, 15" 2.2 c2d 128mb 8600GT, lovely! i have a relative working in apple in CA and he gets 15% off for staff price *2 thumbs up* biggrin.gif

anyway, over these years, i've never spilt any drinks or water on my old lappy or desktop keyboard, guess what i did on the 2nd/3rd day i got my mbp dry.gif

anyway, some of the keycaps are very stiff atm due to the coffee drying up inside, i took out the keycaps 1 by 1 following the mbp DIY ebook i found on internet. some of the rigid keys are fixed but some just couldnt go away. moreover, the keyboard backlighting are pretty scr*wed, now only the center part of the keyboard would illuminate. i couldnt get warranty claim from my own mishandling, could i? all i can hope now is the colour of the keycaps starts to fade, so i have a legit reason to claim warranty as this happens to a lot of mbp keyboards.

ps. i have banned cups going near my mbp since then dry.gif

Yeah you probably could; just say you don't know what happened smile.gif I remember my ipod splashed into the water before; I went into the apple store in Atlanta and I told them my ipod wasn't working anymore. I told them it just wouldn't turn on. No more questions asked, they replaced it on the spot. Now thats service.

Am a new MB user. I recently added a 16Gb music files into iTunes. After struggling to update everything, I realized that my HD capacity has decreased, seemingly I have added more than 32Gb of files. I deleted the files from iTunes in application (coz initially I dragged the 16Gb onto the desktop, and then put it into the itunes in application) and turned out that I cant play any files in itunes now. How can I find out who's the culprit? Help please.

Added on January 21, 2008, 5:12 amI believe there's another one or two copies in the HD, but how can I find out?

There's an option in iTunes whether you want to copy the songs to your iTunes Library or leave it where it is when u add them in. By default it would copy it in and manage it itself. When you delete from iTunes, it is deleted from iTunes' library.

If you have not deleted the original ones from your desktop then you can still find all of them there.

Otherwise, open up Time Machine brows.gif

iTunes' library is located at User/Music/iTunes
