QUOTE(woi @ Aug 27 2007, 07:41 PM) I am planning to replace the hard disk in my Macbook with a higher capacity one. Can anyone recommend a non-Apple place to do that ? I find the Apple store prices a bit expensive :-( If you have recently done so, please share the brand and capacity of the hard disk you selected and whether you experience any heat issue after the replacement. (And the price if you don't mind) Thanks. 3 Days ago i just replace my stock HDD (Seagate 60GB) to Western Digital 160GB which is very smooth actually. i just clone my stock HDD using SuperDuper! after that copy the clone to the new HDD. using the KVR RAM here... so far so good! for me, purchasing the expensive RAM that officially "Work" (for long term) with the apple computer is a lil bit pricey for me... unless u are rich enuf to buy those kind of RAM.. p/s-->no offense here smudger14..

QUOTE(vintec @ Jan 20 2008, 09:22 AM) i got my mbp in less than 3 weeks ago, 15" 2.2 c2d 128mb 8600GT, lovely! i have a relative working in apple in CA and he gets 15% off for staff price *2 thumbs up* anyway, over these years, i've never spilt any drinks or water on my old lappy or desktop keyboard, guess what i did on the 2nd/3rd day i got my mbp anyway, some of the keycaps are very stiff atm due to the coffee drying up inside, i took out the keycaps 1 by 1 following the mbp DIY ebook i found on internet. some of the rigid keys are fixed but some just couldnt go away. moreover, the keyboard backlighting are pretty scr*wed, now only the center part of the keyboard would illuminate. i couldnt get warranty claim from my own mishandling, could i? all i can hope now is the colour of the keycaps starts to fade, so i have a legit reason to claim warranty as this happens to a lot of mbp keyboards. ps. i have banned cups going near my mbp since then for me.. i'll try to avoid any beverage as far as it could be from getting near to my MacBook

in Mac OS X.. there's no need to press the CTRL button.. just tap it using ur 2 fingers.. that should be right click in Mac.
but first u have to enable "tap using two fingers for secondary click" in ur system preference under keyboard & mouse -> trackpad
