I am planning to replace the hard disk in my Macbook with a higher capacity one.

Can anyone recommend a non-Apple place to do that ? I find the Apple store prices a bit expensive :-(

If you have recently done so, please share the brand and capacity of the hard disk you selected and whether you experience any heat issue after the replacement. (And the price if you don't mind)

BTW, will it affect the battery life if i use the AC adapter all the time even when the battery is fully charged ?

Anyhow, there is something i notice, is that sometimes when i save files to the desktop, it doesn't show up in the desktop. But when i check using the terminal, the file exists. What could be the problem?

ive been waiting for a MBP revision for months now and was ready to purchase after the keynote presentation.

i got my mbp in less than 3 weeks ago, 15" 2.2 c2d 128mb 8600GT, lovely! i have a relative working in apple in CA and he gets 15% off for staff price *2 thumbs up*

anyway, over these years, i've never spilt any drinks or water on my old lappy or desktop keyboard, guess what i did on the 2nd/3rd day i got my mbp

anyway, some of the keycaps are very stiff atm due to the coffee drying up inside, i took out the keycaps 1 by 1 following the mbp DIY ebook i found on internet. some of the rigid keys are fixed but some just couldnt go away. moreover, the keyboard backlighting are pretty scr*wed, now only the center part of the keyboard would illuminate. i couldnt get warranty claim from my own mishandling, could i? all i can hope now is the colour of the keycaps starts to fade, so i have a legit reason to claim warranty as this happens to a lot of mbp keyboards.

ps. i have banned cups going near my mbp since then

Can someone please confirm that we can't check Yahoo mail via Mail Macosx? I tried to set it up but it didn't work, so I had to resort to IzyMail instead.

i just bought my 2.2ghz white macbook from EpiCenter Pavilion. Bought the ACPP for RM809 (10% discount)

Went to Machines KLCC at first.. but they ran out of stock.. so I rushed to Epicenter to buy it

Now charging. 7 hours and 50minutes left.

yeah....got a sony ext slim dvd drive. so far ok. but need to bring the power supply together. that's the (-) part.

Phew... just installed a new 250gb hdd to my macbook pro. Didn't notice that the 2 screws at the RAM bay lock the keyboard from the back. Everything is went thru with ease at I removed them. Next plan is to upgrade RAM to 4GB.

Can't find 2x2GB ram in KL now. Damn.

ps. Leopard installed... But there's a problem, I move my original hdd as external hdd but I can't access the hdd now. Damn... all my files are still in it. Wonder anyone can help on this problem?
