Both iWork 08 and Office 08 for mac can be installed, but please bare in mind that "Use at your own risk" LOL
Some problem encounter when using the same serial pirate Office in two LANed MacBook, only either 1 can use it at a time. Maybe system detects repeated serial?

ya , th system will detect the repeated serial .
mean while , i just upgraded my macbook 2.1 from 1 G to 2.5G .
using KVR Ram ... so far no problem .

has been running parallels with AutoCAD in it . no problem so far . if u want to use parallels smoothly , must have at least more than 1G of memory , or else it will be laggy everthing u change the programme .

iphoto loading is very fast too .
recommended to upgarde it ... RM135 for 2G memory only . using kingston KVR .
meanwhile , was planning to upgrade to 3G . but when upgrade to 2.5G , found out o.5G probably wont make much difference . while what i can observe in my istat , i alsways got 800mb ram extra free+inactive.

Yeah, an MBP can handle gaming pretty well, but you'll need to install Boot Camp to play most games out there.

Please don't ask about piracy here. I believe it's against the rules.

Cons:
Quite warm at the bottom part of the MBP. Not comfortable to use it on lap for long period.
Some MBP still have some problems ejecting disc. Have to try few times.
Built quality not as good as MBA =D

not point to buy a 17' MBP just for gaming...
with that price u can get Dell XPS or a better CPU for gaming experience...
Don't waste money and not make the full use of mac machines..
somehow i still do not agree to use Mac just for gaming...

It's quite hot especially when you playing graphic intensive games. I'm not sure about the heat but it's not comfortable.

He didn't meant that he wanna buy it just for gaming but since you have a high performance machine you might as well install some nice games right?
People buy macs for two reasons, showing off or for the Mac OS/softwares

When playing games. it's 60+ for temperature. It's better to have a well ventilation around your mac. Or you will fry it.

Not all notebooks for your information. IBM thinkpad manages heat well.
