Got a question for you guys ... I just installed Adobe Reader 8.1.2. Strangely, it's not listed as a plug-in for Firefox. I can get Firefox to open the file in Adobe Reader, but I'd prefer if the .pdf loaded in Firefox itself like how it would on Windows (or like in Safari). I did some searching on Google and got no discernible solution to it. According to this, however, it seems like Firefox doesn't recognise Adobe Reader as a plug-in on Macs. What do you guys think? Yeah. I bought my MacBook Pro about three weeks ago, and now the new models are out. I admit I was a bit bitter when the news broke, but well, that's how life is, right?
And thanks, guys, for the answers I got to my Firefox-PDF question.

Out of curiosity, can anyone connect through Adium lately? Been trying, but the status remains at "Connecting (0%)" for a fairly long time. Messenger for Mac works fine, though. Just wondering, because I want to try out Adium. (I tried using aMSN, but I kept getting errors every time I wanted to change a font colour.)

Hmm, that's odd. I re-entered my password when I was fiddling around with the preferences to see what was wrong. Never mind; I'll try it again later. Thanks! ETA: Don't want to spam this topic, so I'll post this as an edit. I can connect to Adium fine now. This post has been edited by equustel: Mar 4 2008, 10:24 PM

Yeah, an MBP can handle gaming pretty well, but you'll need to install Boot Camp to play most games out there.
Please don't ask about piracy here. I believe it's against the rules.

Just want to check: Installing an OEM version of Windows XP Home on an MBP will work, right? (Store-bought, not one that comes with a new computer.)

All right! I got Windows XP Home - OEM - on my MBP, and it runs like a dream!
One question, though: I ran dxdiag, and it says that the RAM for my graphics card is 512MB when it should really be 256MB. Eh? What's going on?
