Your pic showed 3.85 GHz, not 3.825
Anyway it seems that this test scales with no. of cores and proc speed more than anything, like just now I managed 11.843s for 32M running at 3.87GHz. I was also monitoring my ram temp, usually for Prime95 or Memtest the ram temps hit about 40 degrees C, but for WPrime the rams hardly broke a sweat It looks like this test also favours Xeons, the best worldwide scores are nearly twice as fast as anything we have here so far Too bad the hbot server is down so my new scores cannot be validated yet. QUOTE(AceCombat @ Sep 9 2007, 12:11 PM) some minor tweak again 3.825GHz i submit the result already, but forgot to paste the link, how to trace it back? Attached thumbnail(s) |

11.893 and 11.843
then i lost again because of 20MHz anyway, will try it out later on, this program is quite fun. and what u said is true,Xeon having a very good advantages in this benchmark, terrible fast even only with 3.2GHz. |

QUOTE(gregy @ Sep 9 2007, 05:04 PM) Your pic showed 3.85 GHz, not 3.825 from what i can see, the wPrime is more intro CPU stressing rather than the ram...got the cpu and ram utilisation on the sidebar. from that, i can see that when i fired up the apps, the cpu utilization was being max to 100% but the ram utilization barely move.Anyway it seems that this test scales with no. of cores and proc speed more than anything, like just now I managed 11.843s for 32M running at 3.87GHz. As already known.. wprime are a multithread CPU processing benchmark. The more efficient your multithreading procssor then the faster u finish the calculations. From HWBot vault we can see Xeons are excellent and efficient multithread processors. Im curious to see how well Barcelona/Phenom are at WPrime.. Update my 1024M score : http://www.hwbot.org/compare.do?resultId=644669 New 32M score: http://www.hwbot.org/compare.do?resultId=644658 This post has been edited by intune: Sep 10 2007, 01:25 AM |
