btw i noticed XMP auto set my VCCSA to 1.316-1.368V max, is that safe for Rocket Lake daily usage or should be lowered?

He use god tier board, so vccsa/io can be lower than average. But generally 1.35-1.4v is fine on gear1. No reason for gear2 to exceed 1.2V especially the IO.

thanks, it is just locked 11400 on B560.. so i did not change vcore/cpu vccio.

i tried with VCCSA to 1.28V and it still goes from 1.260 to 1.356, but now slightly lower averages at 1.298.

then i tried OCCT and it ran memory tests SSE/AVX without error, CPU Large Extreme AVX is also fine, but AVX2 error as soon as started. i don't think a slight change in VCCSA caused it?

strangely intel XTU test with AVX2 ticked ran no issue, and Handbrake encode H.265 also no issue. do i need to worry about OCCT AVX2?

I guess there's no perfect system then.  Best just get both and switch accordingly depending on what you use it for

That's a surprise to me actually, never thought TSMC 7nm consume that much power during idling... or inefficient power management from AMD.
I was using 9900KF before upgrading to 11700K, didn't notice much changes in terms of power consumption, be it at idle or full load.  But I unlock all power limits and overclock near the max anyway.
Good thing is that still able to achieve low power consumption at idle.

i just complete swap + topup Rm150, from i7-11700 (mine) to i9-11900F

so now im with i9F .. obvious it lock CPU.. same Watt TDP.. a bit of Peak Boost / 5.1 Mhz .. and i lost with iGPU.

this person give reason that he need CPU with iGPU to stabilize his Processing in mining setup. was this a valid reason?

and what other pro's between this 2 CPU? Worth in "Thermal Velocity Boost" advance?

is RM1300 for a used i7 8700k a common price at the moment? thinking of selling mine to upgrade it but not sure how much i could fetch together with the mobo
