2 weeks with the phone, bluetooth off/location on. idle drain is improved on Exynos2100 but not with AOD active I would say.

Just found an app that can set 'minimum refresh rate=48hz' for AOD during screen off , claims to improve battery life, i will try that and report back

Life is strange, in my past x years hardly anyone using normal number to call me anymore. Normally will use wechat or what's app to call. But lately a lot of people call me when I am outside and unable to on speaker.

Using conventional phone to ear method, the volume is very low despite I adjusted volume to near max. Still can hear but just not loud enough. Using hands free speaker is fine though.

Now using s21 ultra, may I know those who uses phone to ear method of listening to call, is the volume still normal to you or relatively soft. If so I may have to take to service center though I am reluctant since on average very small chances of me answering calls outside.

FYI I haven't test out the ear bud pro yet, maybe will try later.

Found a possible solution, haven't got the time to test as I said few people call me nowadays. Pasting it here for people having same issues. Seems really a lot of hidden things for samsung.

I just switched from a 7 to an s21 Ultra. I had the same problem based on the set up it came with. Here's what worked for me.
Settings > Sounds and Vibration > Sound quality and effects (next to last option) > Adapt Sound (this is at the bottom of the page that has Dolby but is unrelated to whether Dolby is on or off) > choose either "adapt sound for media and calls" or "calls only" > Select the boost corresponding to age > also touch the little gear to the right of your age choice and chose my preferred ear for calls (left/right) and sound preference (clear).

There is also a personalized sound option based on a hearing test, but you need to wear headphones for the test.

not to knock my new S21 Ultra but personally feel the phone doesnt live up to the hype. I am a simple user.. no games... social media and stuff. battery life below average..(maybe AOD) reception (data) definitely poorer than normal. didnt experienced any dropped call as yet as seldom use phone calls.

overall, feel the out of the box experience could have been better. build quality is excellent, tho.
