I have checked with Aukey. Only PA-Y12 72W USB C Power Delivery 3.0 & Dual Port USB Desktop Charger support the S21 up to 25W. At RM189, that model is an overkill for me. Their other model, though support up to 60W, do not support PPS. So will not Super Fast Charge our device. Other brand I havent yet explore.
*
For 189, I may get the Samsung powerbank that charge at 25W and wireless charge at 15W instead.

Of coz. Iphone more power efficient. Because their ios. Does not require so much processing power. Due to lack of advanced features like android.
So in return. Smaller battery capacity is only needed
*
I have used Window Phone and Meego OS. I find both superior to Android. Never used iphone before.

Of coz  due to windows phone not like android. Have advanced features

Back then, what Android can do, so can Window Phone. Window Phone are like iphone, less resources hungry so smaller battery can last long time.

Which model?

I barely reach 5 hours SOT, only Whatsapp and Facebook, no gaming.
*
It must be your settings. After more than a month of playing around with the settings on my N20, I can get normally 5 hours. With certain usage, maximum 7 hours. Your S21 must be better than my N20

Basically everything is turned off, no AOD, no vibration, brightness at 30%.

There are so many variables that can go wrong.

For example. Check your Google Play Service battery usage. If it's higher than a 3 or 4%, that may indicates you have a rogue apps or something wrong with your syncing.
https://www.maketecheasier.com/fix-google-p...-drain-android/

Also check in Battery usage and see any apps using usually high amount of battery. For example, I found Wechat uses excessively high amount of battery. Uninstall and reinstall fixed that.

You could also try using Bixby Routine to automatically manage the Location or Wifi setting. That way, you don't need to have it on 24/7

Like I say, I play around with settings DAILY for more than a month before things start to get better. Wish you luck

the biggest problem for samsung phone is when it's on idle , u will feel surprisingly that it will suddenly gone few % without touch and use the phone , also let the phone sleep over night can easily drop 7-10% , my xiaomi 10T mostly just drop 1% only for overnight  dry.gif
*
Someone said his S20 FE SD also same drop overnight. So not sure it's just an Exynos thing or across the entire NEW Samsung thing.

My old N8 drops 3 or 4 % overnight. The new N20 drops 7 - 8% despite a bigger battery. It sure is a mystery.

Try to put in aeroplane mode when you are sleeping. Monitor the next morning.

Exynos is infamous for weak network modem, making it keeps hunting for signal real hard. I had S7E, S8, S10, and S10E. All same symptom, unless I was staying at my hometown which had very strong signal and 100% on mobile network because no WiFi. It drained even lesser than my rented house with WiFi but has very weak mobile signal. I had since suspect it could be the modem.

Having said that, the other possibility is the bloated ROM of Samsung. But that's another story (software).
*
According to battery apps, apps usage is the main drain. But it can't tell which app exactly.

Regarding phone calls signal. I'm not too sure. I have been to rural areas with poor signal together with a Huawei phone. Huawei will shows stronger signal whereas Samsung sometime none. Yet when exactly making calls, both phones performance the same. It's on same Telco for both phones

i heard that those Optical sensor on other phone have more easier to unlock while samsung is using Ultra Sonic

from my understanding

Optical Sensor fail when ur finger is wet , can't unlock under water

Ultra Sonic fail when ur finger too dry , but can unlock under water or wet hand
When only wanna combine both technology LOL , can easily unlock even dry/wet hand  mad.gif
U know it's so bad feeling when the finger print sensor trying hard and keep FAIL FAIL FAIL
*
Not according to Kaspersky. Their recent article says Ultraonic easiest to be fooled.

guys, i still can't make up my decision to go either plus or ultra. is ultra worth the extra money?
btw, is the edge screen still troublesome to put on screen protector along with phone casing?
*
When I was deciding between the Note 20 vs Note 20 Ultra, I found the 108MB sensor will focus slower. It may or may be important to you but you can check out Youtube to decide.

Add in a case + pen and you are looking at minimum 250g. May be OK if got handbag. If in pocket, felt like brick.

That what im think, she using note9 now , so i think s21plus is better choice as it almost same weight , but the ultra haha , add case + temp glass that gonna be superwomen already

The s21 is small and light , but scare will regret for small screen, dilema
*
My thought on smaller screen.

For bigger screen, the width of the phone not much different from smaller screen. They just become "taller". So for me, if I hold the phone in portrait mode, big screen or small screen doesn't make much of a difference. It only matters more if I hold the phone in landscape mode. Since I prefer portrait mode, I would prioritize weight over screen size, within reason of course.

Hi Sifu

My Gallery is set to auto sync photos in the Phone Gallery to Microsoft OneDrive automatically. When I delete the photo in the Gallery, it will delete the copy in OneDrive too. Anyone knows how to delete the photo in the Gallery without deleting the copy in OneDrive?

Thank you very much.

I only know 1 method. Not exactly to your need but here it goes.

On your phone's One Drive, there is an option to "clear up space on your device". Select that and the photos in your phone got deleted. But if you go into gallery, you can see them all but those are in the cloud and not in your phone.

Fantastic glad to find this forum to discuss about s21.
How are you s21 users.
Well i am new s21 ultra 5G user just bought 2 weeks ago.
Sadly saying after 6 years switching from android 6 to android 11
Galaxy note4 to S21 ultra 5g

After 2 week of use i still have doubt whether this worth for the price or not. battery 5000 yet to avoid draining we had to disable all shit.

Currently my setting are

1. Set to dark mode
2. Disabled bluetooth
3. system sound and vibration turned OFF
4. 5G & 4G turned OFF, running on 3G
5. Nearby device scanning turned OFF
6. Turn on wifi automatically feature OFF
7. Detect suspicious network turned OFF
8. Display adaptive brightness turned ON
9. Motion smoothness in standard
10. Screen mode set to natural
11. Screen resolution FHD+
12. Always on display turned ON with tap to show for 10 seconds
13. Location ON
Yet i would not say it is impressive battery. Whats the point of having highend phone yet hav to adjust eventually.
Never streaming never browsing just playing with setting can drain the battery fast.
Some claims its happening due to recent update. I do not know.

I know the feeling with my Note 20. The standby of the newer Samsung is twice as bad as the old Samsung.

I suggest you try Bixby Routine. Since your Location is ON 24/7, then you can set one whereby every time you left a location, the WiFi will automatically be turned off. And automatically turned ON when you enter a certain location. And you can set other Bixby Routine for other functions as well.

Do you mean under 80%?

Yeah was also thinking of doing that. The last few months with my kong baterry s7 was really a hassle. But kinda want the new fast-fast tech. I thought this new pd pps standard is suppose to be better for battery health?

The adapter included in the wireless charger trio is pd pps?
*
Try Accubattery. Every time battery charges up to 80%, it will give you an alarm.

in my opinion , just charge ur phone to 100% and use it like usual , it's quite hard always control the level of battery

buying a flagship car , but keep on maintain driving at 80km/h is quite suffer eh , scare to drive over the speed because will damage the engine  wink.gif
*
all you need is a change of habit. Get up in the morning, put phone on charger and go do your stuff. By the time you walk out of the house, phone at 80 - 90% battery, enough battery to last a day

Samsung - HQ photos

Apple - HQ videos

Without fail, I always noticed compressed photos shared on Whatsapp, the one from iphone always bigger size (3 or 4 times in KB) and a lot clearer compared to Samsung's. Anyone know how to solve this issue?

I am not referring to sending original full sized photos. Only referring to photos compressed by iphone and Samsung sent via Whatsapp chat

You can send photos by documents they’ll come out full resolution
*
I know that and that is why I specifically say I don't want full size resolution photo. Just making thumbnail in whatsapp chat looks similar to iphone's

Take an example. A photo in Whatsapp chat may be 50kb with Samsung. But a photo with iphone could be 200KB.

R u reffering to immediate snap from whtsapp and sharing ?
Ya it is absolutely terrible sending like that.
But i never felt low quality in my previous phone.
Just in s21ultra the immediate snap photos and video quality terrible.
Does it compressed too much ?
*
No. I take photo. Then from gallery to whatsapp. The photo typically compressed down to ~50KB in Whatsapp

But when I receive thumbnail photos from iphone user, their photos are always A LOT clear and when I check their size, typically much larger ~ 200KB

So my question is, how to send clear thumbnail of 200KB from Samsung phone?
