Ancient Cities. Many backed the game in kickstarters years back.. Quite alot of people look forward for the release too including me. But when the game is released, one word, disappointing.  sweat.gif

The one im referring to is Star Citizen.
$400m gone into ''Development".

QUOTE
tar Citizen is an in-development multiplayer space trading and combat simulation game developed and published by Cloud Imperium Games for Microsoft Windows. A spiritual successor to 2003's Freelancer, Star Citizen is being led by director Chris Roberts. The game was announced in 2012 through a successful Kickstarter campaign which drew in over US$2 million.[3][4] Pre-production of the game began in 2010,[5] with production starting in 2011.[6][7]

Star Citizen has become highly criticised during its long production process, both for the fact that there is still no solid release date and for the difficulty in which backers who have abandoned the project have had in receiving a refund. The launch of the game was originally anticipated for 2014, but was repeatedly delayed. In 2013, Cloud Imperium Games began releasing parts of the game, known as "modules", to provide players with the opportunity to experience gameplay features prior to release. The latest of these modules, known as the "Persistent Universe", was made available for testing to pre-purchasers in 2015 and continues to receive updates. No projected date for the commercial release of Star Citizen is currently given.

After the initial Kickstarter ended, Cloud Imperium Games continued to raise funds through the sale of ships and other in-game content, and is now noted for being the highest crowdfunded video game and one of the highest-funded crowdfunding projects overall, having raised over US$300 million as of June 2020. Such methods of generating crowdfunded revenue have however led to criticisms and legal issues surrounding the project. In addition to crowdfunding, marketing[8] is now also funded through external investment having received US$63.25 million as of March 2020.[I]

Squadron 42, a single-player game set in the same universe, was initially announced in the Kickstarter as an included campaign in Star Citizen, but is now intended to be a standalone product. The player character's performance in Squadron 42 will reportedly have an impact on their career in Star Citizen.[9]

Enjoying Forza so much bro. The choices of cars are massive!

As for Shadow of War, it is quite good compared to the last one. A lot of things to do now. Bigger maps, new game mechanics. Last but not least, the nemesis system never fails to surprise me.
*
might purchase it in the next sales. xD
The previous game was pretty enjoyable with the fight animations, felt very satisfying.

This time around there is a skill tree which you may opt for whichever play style you want. Ooh the killings, so satisfying indeed.
*
yea i know right. I will never forget how satisfying the fights are.

Right now i'm looking for games like Terraria. Would be fun, no Stardew Valley. I can't seem to continue with that game for some reasons. xD

Spent around 85++ hours with Horizon Zero Dawn, completed the main story for both the main game and The Frozen Wilds. Really solid good game. Nice setting, engaging story, strong lead character, nice music score...etc.
Now planning to move on to AC: Odyssey and Star Wars Battlefront 2.

Yeah HZD is immersive, super good

Managed to complete the Star Wars Battlefront 2 Single Player campaign, its a short 6-7 hours ;not bad la the story and linking the events from Return of the Jedi up till before The Last Jedi.
Multiplayer is quite fun too, but somehow  I did not venture much into it.
Started with AC: Odyssey instead.
*
Odyssey I love it. Hope you find it really fun!

Actually got Elite Dangerous for free on Epic Game Store quite a while ago but never touched it. Trying to play it right now. Holy cow the scale of things (and control difficulty),
I tried Eve before but this is definitely much harder to control since this is first person, very easy to get disorientated, but definitely fun to play.
Just researching some newbie guides, trying to make some early money farming pirates first.

Note: Frostpunk is also free to claim on EGS right now. City builder on frosted landscape, campaign missions can be really challenging, unique type of survival city builder game worth a try.

woah another free great game on EGS, they really pull out all the tricks to lure user on their platform eh...
I actually played this already. Unique gameplay mechanics, though Western mystery story aren't exactly my cup of tea so didn't finish it.

I managed to claim this and this. Thanks for the heads up!
I tried Control when it was first out, kinda scary for me so I gave up and watched the entire gameplay on YouTube instead. Haha!

Anyone here using controller to play pc games? which controller is more suitable if using steam account? or all have the same features.

currently looking at ps4 dual shock coz might use it on playstation in future.
*
If PC, the most reliable is still XBOX.
I tried so many, PS, Nintendo Controller, but still XBOX the best.

thanks but mind to share whats so gud about xbox model? the handling? compatibility?

never have the chance to try on it
*
Quality is good (but this you could expect the same from PS and Nintendo controllers) handling is good. Most of all it's very compatible with any PC Games.
PS controllers will have the buttons mapping as well as Nintendo Controller. In the past i had to use extra emulators or something to map the buttons or to use the Nintendo Controller nicely with PC Games.

XBOX just plug in and play. Easy.

thanks for your info  biggrin.gif  looking at the XBOX left joystick position seems like it will be more comfortable for me as well.
*
Just dont buy the wrong one.
The latest one is the Xbox series x/s. almost same design as Xbox One.
So don't be fooled by cheaper prices in Lazada/Shopee, they could end up sending you an old model.

any diff with other xbox model?
okie, my fren is using switch controller to connect pc as well, design looks quite similar to xbox, have you tried that before?
will take a look at logitech also thanks
woo this one quite affordable, really never heard of this brand, how long have u been using this?
*
Yes I used the Switch Controller. I used all the brands available in the market in fact. Buy and sell all of them. But XBOX I’m keeping cause it’s just convenient. Quality is good as well. If you playing mostly PC games, nothing beats XBOX one lah.

Talexeh

Next round can help 2 buy 4 me more conveniently already

No need 2 pass you my windows ID with hanky panky steps laugh.gif laugh.gif

PS : how is epic compare with steam hmm.gif hmm.gif
*
almost the same only the EPIC.
Nowadays I have all accounts depending on which stores sell the cheapest games. xD And some games only available on their own platforms, like Ubisoft.
I have been spending a lot of money on Ubisoft lately.

You should consider XBOX pass since your games seem to be available in the game pass. hmm.gif

okie, whats stopping now to buy one is its compatibility with playstation lol, coz sometimes i play ps with my brother and friends which usually requires extra controller.

but looking at most steam game control settings eg FIFA, Forza Horizon they are showing it in XBOX controller figure, which is quite convenient for XBOX controller users
connecting via ds4windows? or steam?
*
QUOTE(ifourtos @ Jun 18 2021, 02:15 PM)
Xbox is the DEFAULT Option.

Naturally Full supported by Windows.
Naturally Full supported by All Windows Games that support Controller.
Naturally Full supported by emulator also.

Those who looking option than Xbox, you may consider Razer, which i think too overprice.

Those who thinking DualShock = looking for trouble.
Even Dualshock is Natively support, DS4 only onpar with Xbox controller.
( my hand is bigger, xbox controller feel less tired for me )

But DS4 is not natively supported in Windows enviroment.
*
I agree. Just get XBOX controller if you are playing PC games mostly. Save you a lot of headaches.
I have small hands, I can tell you the logitech F310 pains my hand. XBOX one is just comfy. Granted I love the Nintendo Switch Controller, but since I sold my Switch. and mainly plays PC Games, XBOX Controller is the one to go. really fuss free and convenient. And they are pretty durable.
