Fun-fact, my main roaster consist of 5 bow chars, and I don't play any catalyst char. Mihoyo so far gave me a total of 9 catalyst prototypes and only 2 bow prototypes.

Yea, not F2P, BattlePass does help a lot. But didn't really spend any Stardust in shop for Mora tho.

I played with different team comp every few days, clearing overworld for fun when farming daily artifacts. The EXP(20-50exp per elite enemies, lol) and Mora seem so insignificant at first, but surprisingly my Ganyu gains from Lvl 80 to 83+ from just clearing trash mobs. I believe it's the same case for Mora as well. I don't farm them for the mora/exp, but because I like to experience with different chars. Those new dps chars I played with are normally talent 2/2/2 and level 40-60 so that they don't die from 1 hit, then pair with 1 or 2 highly-invested off-field supports like Fischl/Xingqiu/Albedo/Zhongli to make up with the lack of dps output.

I've also done a lot of Mora Leylines, always clearing Abyss and Reputation Quest whenever it refreshes.

Also, 180 resins per day = 540k Mora , 30 days of resin = 16M

For me the best support is XingQiu and Zhongli. Bennet is a good choice if your DPS is not Pyro and need one for melting ice shield.

But unlike Xingqiu and Zhongli, you don't have to spend much resources on Bennet to be good. Just level him to Level 60-80, get the highest available burst talent level, equip whatever artifacts with the highest energy recharge and you're good to go.

Ganyu main here.

I've tried all different team comps and find that both Xiangling reverse melt as well as Mona perma-freeze are clunky to play with. They're good, but there's always something that ticks me off.

Reserve Melt - Ganyu Xiangling Venti Bennet
Pro: Very high damage if you are able to pull this off. Low investment, only need focus on Ganyu normal attack talent.
Con: You have to always keep in mind the distance between Guoba and Pyranado. You will need to rush to enemies with Xiangling, and then dash away with Ganyu for charge shot. Ganyu's E & Q will steal the precious melt reaction, so you can't really utilise them, for me it's a huge waste, hence the low rating.

Budget Freeze - Ganyu Barbara Anemo MC(Sucrose) Kaeya(Diona)
Pro: Free/Easy to access characters.
Con: Charge shot at melee range to achieve high freeze uptime.

Perma-Freeze - Ganyu Mona Venti Diona
Pro: Lower but consistent damage with Ganyu's burst. You basically quick swap all chars burst all the time, Venti and Diona will provide enough energy that all 4 ults will be always available on CD. Freeze reaction also means you can break all shields except Cryo.
Con: Mona is clunky to use. Boring gameplay experience and not much strategy involved. You need to perform the exact same rotation(Mona E, Venti Q, Ganyu Q, Mona Q, Ganyu Charge Atk) every fucking time to extend Mona's Omen buff.
My rate: 2/5 (Mona C0) , 3/5 (Mona C1)

Perma-Freeze - Ganyu Childe Venti Diona
Pro: Same as above, but Childe instead of Mona. C0 Childe has lower freeze uptime than Mona, but Childe (for me) is easier to use and his passive talent is a very nice compliment to Ganyu.
Con: Childe needs high constellation to achieve perma-freeze. At C0 he's on-par with Mona. No Pyro/Claymore, good for Abyss but inconvenient for overworld general gameplay.

My fav - Ganyu Childe(C4) Any-Pyro Zhongli
Pro: C4 Childe enable 100% freeze uptime, you don't even need Venti or Diona anymore. This team covers all major elements for easy shield breaking. ZL for easy ores farming, increase DPS and nullifies the needs of a healer.
Con: Unable to achieve with F2P/low-spending.

11-2 does not have timer, so CC availability(freeze) is more valuable than high damage output(melt). Swap Xiangling out from Team B and go perma-freeze build. Venti and Jean go full energy build(200+ energy recharge), doesn't even need to be 4x VV set.

Then after you clear 11-2 with at least 1 star, rush through 11-3, even 0 star will do. After that re-challenge Floor 11 again, but with the usual Xiangling reverse melt team this time. During 11-2 don't worry about getting any star but focus on recharging the whole team energy to full, so that you can direct casting all your ults upon 11-3 to get 2-3 stars.

Try teleporter at the left of Cryo Hypostasis, you can reach the old underground pit for daily artifacts from there.

Bring any pyro that can apply overload at a very fast rate, eg Bennet, Xiangling, Hu Tao.

Equip 4x Thundering Fury set to further reduce the skill cooldown if still not able to break down the shield faster enough.

There's always a red exclamation notification at the bottom right corner of my teapot map. I've already claimed all the available rewards, placed all crafted items, and even spend all the coins, but it's still there.

Wait, what region is that? China? Most of us won't able to help cause we're in Asia(UID 8xx).

At what constellation?

If C0 I suggest Preta+Noblesses, HP+Geo+Crit. At level 10 Talent burst can reach 100k+ but can't spam it unless you have other geo units as battery. Good for single player mode.

If C1 try Millelith set. HP+Geo+Crit.

If C2+ Millelith set, ER+Geo+Crit. His burst alone will normally get you back 50-80% of the energy(wait for energy particle with ZL). Good for co-op or carry your own lower-level chars when farming friendship exp.

But then by v1.6 they will introduce AFK friendship EXP, maybe switching to low-level chars to farm friendship exp will not be a thing anymore.

She will be available in the normal banner pool after this banner end, so you might unintentionally get dupes of her one day.

So you need to ask yourself whether 'will you get upset/mad if you get C6 now and then get more dupes of her in the future'. If the thoughts of getting dupes of her past C6 annoy you, then stop drawing now. If you feel it's okay cause you get to use her at full potential NOW, then yes, go draw.

My hand cacat and can't play all the catalyst characters well.

Shorter dash range(due to model height and female gender), clunky auto-attack(eg: klee, mona), relies on charge atk but then they have the lowest def and health. Even with so many negative traits, their dmg are not relatively higher than other melee DPS.

Yanfei on the other hand is the easiest to play catalyst characters. Auto-atk range is very good, don't have much stamina issue cause she is not a loli and have talents/constellation that reduces stamina usage.

Damage wise Yanfei is very good, and especially you have her at C5 now, sure better than C0 Klee. Yanfei is like Diluc to Hutao, a bit lower dmg but with consistent damage and better gameplay(less dying and failure in harder content).

C4 Childe or C0 Xingqiu, pick one

Jokes aside, yes, level him up. In fact, spend most of your resources on him! He is the best support right next to ZL. He is the best support for almost all DPS, except Ganyu.

I bet Challenge Event like this in the future will have disgusting modifier like 'enemies ignore players shield'.

Since by that time most will have a shielder and they need to introduce new gimmicks(elemental mastery rework) to induce players to change their existing team comp.

Dashing & Burst -Def modifier actually still okay lar, they're the lowest 125(@x5) points modifier. You will still have 7750-7875 points per domain, more than enough.
