to ask for some clarification, i'm on ILP. in my policy statement, i see the tab 'Policy Value/ Total Investment Value' of XX value. can i confirm, if this XX is surrender value?
'
*
Case to case basis , because nowadays ILP also got many different types with bonus or other cash benefit.
It is the best to look for surrender value instead of fund value.
Some ILP funds value may not be exactly the same as surrender value.
Example for prudential as below :

I have a noob question.

If a policy has a crisis cover benefit of RM10000 and already claim RM10000 in a surgery previously, can still claim in future? or once reach RM10000, cannot claim anymore?
*
The answer is cannot , you cannot claim for Crisis Cover portion anymore. Other portion still can claim.
Below is one of my client sample for you to refer.

Guys, i know what this form for. My main question is, is this compulsory to sign? From what others reply here, it looks like this is optional. Haiz. Always met dishonest agent.
*
Optional bro. You can choose to agree and opt in or choose to ignore and dont opt in.
So the answer is it is not compulsory to sign , changes to policy details cannot be enforce by prudential without customer consent or signature.

Hey bro any ideal how come ge increasing price of insurance plan so many times???
2 years ago increased about rm300 next year I see in econnect my plan been increased again by rm700.
This is not following the age chart I received when sign up and when will this increase end? Its already out of my budget...
*
if already out of your budget , review it with your agent , by downgrading some of the coverage to suits your budget instead of cancelling it.
i assume you bought heavy CI + medical card , as life + accident hardly will get repricing , if yes also ratio very low.

How do I know if my critical care insurance covers early diagnosis? I heard from yt that things like diagnosis, scanning, early stage cancer not covered.

Any specific terms in the policy? Very hin
*
You can refer back your full policy documents check for the clause under Critical illness.
Well , if it covers then it will be written cover for both early and late & what are those illness name.
Nowadays CI not just covered for illness , it is being extend until cover for mental health , ICU payout , post surgery payout.

which critical illnesses plan in the market that you would recommend ? and may i know why ?
any good CI plan that can be purchased via online ?
*
For prudential

If you are saying just to focus on CI but not life/medical card/accident then you can refer to below :
https://www.prudential.com.my/en/products-h...ve/PruAll-care/

If you want moderate CI coverage attached together with life / accident / medical card / payor and so on can refer this :
https://www.prudential.com.my/en/products-h...ti-crisis-care/

Which critical illnesses plan in the market that you would recommend ? and may i know why ?
GE / AIA / Allianz / Prudential or others which endorse by Bank Negara are equally good thou…
Cant really recommend on which is the best, if compare side by side ,it wont have a noticeable big difference on coverage or pricing.

For the latest cancer treatment ; genomic test & precision medicine , currently only can use Allianz or Prudential card.
Soon i think GE / AIA will also have it , just a matter of time.

thanks for the info.
is one allowed to claim from two different CI policies, whereby both are from different insurance companies ?
*
As long as you are healthy now , and you have budget , you can buy as many as you want from different companies.
Of course if you are buying extremely high like up to millions of payout , proof of income is needed.
When performing claim you are allow to claim from respective insurance companies concurrently. rclxms.gif

Yes don't always listen to just one party , if possible find few and do the comparison yourself.
There could be good and bad broker , as well as good and bad agent. thumbup.gif

Existing policy no option to upgrade
Did you get the answer from hq email / customer service or its from the mouth of current agent ?

My recent A1C test places me at 5.7 (normal range 5.6 and below, diabetes 7 and above), what are my options in terms of medical coverage?

1. Can I get coverage?

2. Would it be better to get a fresh test (after implementing healthier diet and habit) and hopefully falls within the normal range before trying to get insured?

Ahhh so young , should be not an issue, i have client 28 age higher HBA1C level than you, still approved without loading or exclusion.
Remember when you apply declare everything and don't hide from insurance company , immediately family member history also need to declare.
After apply just wait for insurance decision , if loading or exclusion really apply , you still can decide whether to agree or just get refuse & get back refund.

the big p. i think it's not the issue with the company but the agent itself. my friend on the other hand is quite helpful with his customer

those bugger can post selfie with their beemer in socmed but tends to ignore their customer when they need help
*
If its the big p then its super easy nowadays.

1. Download transfer agent forms , fill by you , sign by new agent & you , you do not need to notify or go thru current agent. One week later ur policy agent name will be changed to new agent, you can transfer as many time as you want but the commission still go back to the agent that you sign up with.

2. File a complain to customer.mys@prudential.com.my with proof such as screenshot , nowadays the big p takes it seriously and will affect his ratings or at least his superior will know such issues happen.

PRUSenior Med, if the pre illness doesn’t declared during purchase and find out later. What will happen ? The paid premium will refund back?
*
So far based on my encounter 10/10 pru senior med application have to go thru strict medical checkup including ecg test before approval can be done.

And during the checkup doctor will ask lots of question including pre existing illness. At that point you have to declare already cannot hide anything from doctor.

Insurance company have the right to terminate your policy if they found out something hanky panky is going on and may not issue refund depend on the situation, it is all stated clearly inside the t&c when you purchase it.

1 forummer say can’t 1 forummer say can.

How?

1 is a Financial Advisor Representative, 1 is a ex GE agent.

Who to listen to?
*
I think both is correct ? biggrin.gif
not so sure about GE but for prudential have something quite similar.

If you hold a very ancient standalone medical card and wish to upgrade to a better card.
Technically the system cannot do so , you have to purchase a new ILP plan and terminate the old card.
which is like that lifebalance said not possible to upgrade by default as we cannot assign new card to old card policy.

But it happen before some auntie insists want to upgrade don't want to terminate , or they dont want that ILP thingy but want the million dollar limit card.
It is actually possible and treated as special case but via a term called replacement card/transfer card and need to be done manually.
also the process of getting commission from such case also quite troublesome and very manual , need to email hq for processing.
which is like what denion said it is possible but via replacement , the procedure is very difference and lots of work to do.

I know that. I'm asking if anyone knows or encounter this underweight issue with other company besides GE.
*
Yes pru also have this as well. abnormal BMI will subject to loading or warning or rejection.
It is really case to case basis. depend on the respective under write decision. Not a straight forward Yes and No answer.

For example from what i faced before:
1.an existing client upgrade and found BMI abnormal , issued warning letter without loading.
2.a totally new client , previously from GE , got records , BMI overweight , issue warning letter without loading
3.a totally new client applied , found overweight , decision of loading issued.
*warning letter means ask client to gain back weight or lose weight in coming years in order to approve future plan purchase (if any).

No harm if you want to apply from GE , AIA , Prudential , Allianz and wait for the result then decide from there.
Each insurance company may have different underwriting results or same results , we never know.
