hi annoymous1234, what's your BMI btw? when you applied for GE (I assumed you applied hence you ask this), did company request you to do a simple Medical Examination?
hi ping, the "issued warning letter without loading" means Prudential approve their insurance application?

Item 1 and 2. Interesting.

Checked with my business development from Prudential for Financial Advisor. She said she never heard such thing.

But she could be wrong 🫢

So do they need to be on ideal weight after this warning letter?
*
Hi denion holocene onthefly , yes , technically it is consider approved with warnings.
Under SIO-Loading i have seen different kind of decisions given on loading , each time also different remarks. They don't use a same template for all loading case. Every person is different , have to depend their gender , age , smoker or not , occupation , existing policy and so on...basically need to reduce/increase back BMI for future endorsement to be approve without loading. Some warning , Some loading , Some rejected.

Is it normal to take more than 2.5 months to process the downgrade application and still not approved?
*
For prudential , it depend ur agent submit using digital platform or via hardcopy filled.
If digital normally Monday submit , before Friday already reflected.
If hardcopy indeed it takes very very long time.it could take 1 months.

Good day all,

My main concern is to get insurance + medical card for children which covers;

1. Wider coverage admission private hospitals in Malaysia.
2. Less red tape during admission - covers medical bills, etc.
3. Fast approval.
4. Covers major critical illness/cancer/etc.

So far I narrow down to this ;

1. Allianz Life Insurance – HealthInsured series medical card.

2. AIA – A Plus Health series medical card.

3. Great Eastern Life – Smart Medic series medical card.

Hong Leong Assurance – Medi Shield III series medical card.

Prudential Assurance – Pru Million Med series medical card.

Kindly advise which is good to go?

Thanks.

You are asking similar question as choosing between Honda City, Toyota Vios, Nissan Almera, Mazda 2.
All can provide the same objective with almost the same price.
Choose either will do laugh.gif

Actually why insurance companies use "agent" or "agency" way to do their business?
*
you may also wondering why honda / toyota / bmw use agent or agency to do their business
for vehicle they use dealer terms which is same as agency for insurance
https://www.honda.com.my/discover/dealer-awards
for example why bmw dont want sell themself but use auto bavaria , quill automobile to sell ?

you may also wondering why property owner / project use agent or agency to do their business
https://top10malaysia.com/main/top-10-prope...ncies-malaysia/
for example why sunway alishan dont sell by sunway themself but also sell by other property agent ?

you may also wondering why big brand like apple / asus / hp still use agent or agency to do their business ?
for example apple use machines , senheng , switch agency to sell their phones
for example asus/hp use All IT , harvey norman , IT Comp to sell their laptop

one major differences recently is sign up celcom postpaid thru agent vs thru online direct
online show me error and calling customer service redirect me here and there
luckily i saved a celcom postpaid sales agent whatsapp when visit blue cube last time
they earn commission from my postpaid new line , in return they provide me services which HQ customer service can never provide
because they got commission they feel the urge to assist you in your problem in order to close sales.
one whatsapp to this celcom agent , and she found that i got outstanding from few years ago billing, she asked me to online transfer immediately and send her the screenshot , once i send her , walla , she help to get my line activated in 5 minutes , i still recall that was 11pm , if i rely on hq customer service quality forever my line will not get activated , always direct me to another department again and again.

Of course agency quality / sales agency quality may vary but somehow many industry still need them to do their business. laugh.gif

Hi, does Prudential cover the policy holder if he or she is working in Singapore?
*
Yes for life , accident , CI
For medical card advisable to use at johor, if use at Singapore also possible but subjected to reasonable charges in RM.

If you are working long term in Singapore suggest you to add in prumedic oversea into your policy.

My question is
>total 500K for CI is enough next 30 years?

If you can afford any premium amount, buy the max allowed. Limit is subjective.

>when im in CI, medical card is still working?

Should you be stricken with a CI like stroke, cancer or heart-attack, your medical plan should oredi cover your treatment costs.

But if, in addition, you want to replace your lost income as when recovering, or go for other treaments not covered by your medical plan, the CI llump sum payment helps.

>when i'm in critical illness , TPD is claimable due other reason?

Insurance coverage pays independently of each plan.

>is there any plan mainly for CI and TPD? expensive? single payout or multiple payout better?

TPD insurance is usually attached with life insurance. If you think you do not need life insurance but wantsTPD coverage, then buy minimum life insurance with TPD packaged together.
*
>total 500K for CI is enough next 30 years?
This is very subjective , insurance company allow you to max out up until few Millions if you are qualify & if you have the budget.
p/s : normally late stage CI , chances of surviving next 30 years is very low.

>when im in CI, medical card is still working?
For example if diagnose with late stage cancer and require chemo;
You get cash in your bank account from CI claim & at the same time use medical card to do chemo in hospital.
Your medical card will still continue in force as it is separated from CI

>when i'm in critical illness , TPD is claimable due other reason?
if your CI plan is sharing use with life , then TPD is not claimable
If your CI plan is separated from life , then extra TPD is claimable

>is there any plan mainly for CI and TPD? expensive? single payout or multiple payout better?
Yes there are a lot of plan focusing on CI alone only without medical card or other stuff.
You may search thru GE, Pru, Alianz , AIA website
rclxms.gif

Not sure about your payout meaning ? normally CI is lumpsum payout to you in one shot not by installment biggrin.gif

QUOTE(PowerGadget @ Feb 6 2023, 02:35 AM)
Hi all, recently I sign up a prudential medical card plan PRUwithyou in early of December 2022.

The insurance agent told me that prudential is having a FREE 1 month promotion so I no need to pay for month of December. Only need to pay in month of Jan.

When I log into PRUaccess plus, I found out that my policy commencement date is 01 JAN 2023 but policy date indeed written down as 7th of December.

Does this imply that no such thing as free 1 month? She just delayed my policy commencement date and I was eventually not under covered in December 2022?
*
Hi PowerGadget , there is no such things called FREE 1 month promotion , if it does have it would be appeared at prudential official website already.
Normally prudential have promotion called cashback and often credited few months later.

Your agent does not have the right to delayed your commencement date , basically it is system by default and agent cant do anything.
For example you sign up on 7 February 2023 for RM200/month policy & paid RM200 upfront for the application.
The application approved on 9 february. You next payment date is automatically set at 1st april. Policy commencement date is 1st march.
So agent often use some marketing gimmick and told you it is free 1 month promotion, but in actual this is standard rules for prudential.

Now back to your question since my application is approved on 9 feb but commencement date is 1 march , do i get covered in between 9 feb to 1 march?
Answer is yes , it might be sounds confusing to customer but the layman term is yes. It is called in force date.
Your policy is in-force immediately once LA approve. However, at the same time you cant claim anything other than accident due to life , medical cards and CI all have waiting periods rules.

Now also you might question why my application approve at 9 feb , why not prudential just put my commencement date as 9 feb ?
Well, imagine you have million of customer with each different date of commencement date which end up prudential might need to manage 365 dates , it will be hectic for them to manage payment date or lapse date for 365 dates. It is easier if only manage 12 dates , 1JAN, 2Feb. 3Feb.
If you apply on 7 feb , approved on 9feb. It cannot be backdated to 1 feb commence, therefore it is set as 1 Mar. icon_rolleyes.gif
