the normal edition and special edition
normal edition cost 179 at TSB, special 219
the different between the 2 is addition artbook, and also 6 units in grand campaign/multiplayer
is that worth the extra 40 ringgit, u decide urself

tat aside, the bug seems really isolated on each person case
for example, i had nv experience the problem reported here, even though i did the exact same thing, such as conquering the hurons, inuits
or even the quebec siege in road the independence campaign as faced by regentcid
in fact, i nv really encounter any major bugs that spoil my experience of the game
not sure want to continue my GB campaign now until i really conquer every country, or start up a new grand campaign, maybe france

Try marathas...they are actually quite interesting and unique...

On the Quebec siege...I know what bug you would have experienced...the slow unit movement near the bank of the river...not even sure if its a bug or a feature....Devs have said before that the terrain can slow down your units(like mud etc)...but the animation are like slo mo and not realistic to actually being slowed down by mud...

For me after a random number of turns in the Grand Campain I get the "white-screen-then-crash-to-desktop" bug during AI turn.
And even if I reload my saves I will still get it sooner or later.

So basically for me I cannot simply go very far in a Grand Campain... which take out totally all interest to the game for me at the moment (I am done with the RTI campain)

So well... I do hope early next week patch will solve these since we just cant return back the game to the shop (since it's link to your Steam account now).
Until then I am not touching it, I have free games that may not have the shiny shiny graphics of ETW but at least they run.

I feel CA focused way too more on eye candy and not enough on the basics of the game (stability, AI, gameplay)

I am currently installing the game but unlikely to have time to play (maybe during the end of March).

Nice picture Kianweic wink.gif

Boon.fong: I am personally hoping big on the patch CA is supposed to release early next week (from their announcements), it seems to be slightly bigger than the one we had last week. If that one does not fix the white-scree-crashes-to-desktop I might just give up on the game and come back to it in few months once they settle down.

Thanks.

Too bad don't have much time these few weeks to play, so much work.

Fortunately, I am getting a new PC soon.

Hopefully by then I can play at 1920x1200 with all the bell and whistles turned up to maximum.

I am still kinda new to Steam but from what I believe is that when you uninstall a Steam game it will still show in Steam under the "Not installed" section.
If you reinstall you should not have to activate through Steam again, just maybe patch if a patch was out since you uninstalled.

At least that's how I understand the process as well, games are linked to your Steam account, the physical files on your computer are another thing altogether I just uninstalled DoW2 since I need space and it now shows under the "Not installed" section.

Try to get a better IP or something, that's usually the reason why I cant log on to Steam.

Good IP depends on where you stay though, just test it out.

That is true, I bought Half Life 2 Collector's Edition many years back.

It shows as not installed when I logged into Steam. So does Half Life 2 Lost Coast, Half Life Source, Half Life Death Match, Half Life 2 Death Match and Counter-Strike.

I think the reason for this is to prevent 2nd hand sales for its games since the games will be tied to Steam. 2nd hand sales does not result in Valve or other games company profiting from it.
