Many local council don't have proper transaction records (can't view if the bill has been paid), I'm just worried having difficulties verifying that payment actually went through, if it didn't, by the time I realize it maybe too late already knowing elinking's customer service

1) local council have portal to check transaction statement?

2) find other alternatives, if any. if your payment is critical, dont rely on untested/3rd-party service; unless you're emotionally-ready to handle uncertainties (elinking or local council, etc)

But true, usually there's a portal to check. Most of my bills don't even come in paper form anymore.

Also, what @cybpsych said, applies to sketchy Elinking and any other "big shot" ewallet as well.. Use at your own risk. And emotionally ready to deal with CS.

maybe call the the local council after X days stated in T&C from the payment date to verify whether payment already reflected in ur account

to prevent this occur, i always wait until the pin released , then do the reload immediately.
Until now i'm lucky ...

may I know is the pin released from elinking immediately after we buy the softpin?

I think most of them when u pay, it will show the total. Maybe not for u pay seperately. But payment total still can change (example Melaka MPHTJ Cukai and SESB using pos apps)
So maybe u can try pos apps. But not really use them to pay
