strange.. isnt that when payment need to key in shopeepay pin number?

Did you bother to read previous posts? Many posters have highlighted that when you save your cc in Shopee you will not be asked for a code when you make payments.

But my PBB, CITI, MBB, UOB all ask for OTP.
Someone said his CIMB no need OTP anyone else can confirm?

Same like foodpanda and grab. First time only need otp then next time no need. So be careful next time. I did saved my card but I set limit to 500. Ill increase limit once when I need to pay more

mine is saved cc, and is asked everytime for a code to purchase.
this is the shopee pin code. not the credit card tac code.

is this new function ? that with CC payment you need to input shopee pin code.


i have not used CC payment long time already , now using shopee pay only , and the shopee pin code .

i use stored HSBC card .
sometimes ask OTP sometimes just go thru with out otp .

i am not sure what the rules are to trigger otp ,
as seem very inconsistence.

Removed my saved cards in all shopping apps.. In future I might/shold add another bank acc like some forumer has done with just enuff cash for online purchases(got unused sotong but u know how it is lately xd) so even if it is hacked there wont be much in it compared to my main tiger acc.. With that said, now which back is good as spare acc?

now can save m2u cc at shoppe pay. need pin oni can purchase. no such thing hack.

I have removed all my cc from Amazon, Lazada, Shopee, Foodpanda account.

That one is when we top up ShopeePay using credit card.
Pay from credit card is supposed ask for tac.

My credit card(RHB) anything above RM100 it will ask for tac, I think I set this limit years ago.

And the maybank2u limit is RM250 per day if used in Shopee.

can 1000 I saw.

Yes losing that amount can be devastating to anyone, and it is equally important to share how this scam worked past TS.

Forummers here have given all/most possibilities and how to avoid scam. Thank you for sharing.

The other day I also received a whatsapp saying I have won a Samsung Galaxy something something from shopee. It feels kinda fishy but I just play along. They dont want to send me an SMS because then it'll be too obvious that they are trying to log into my account. the phone call i received even say "your shopee 6 digit code is xxxxxx" or to that effect . I keep giving the guy a wrong code. He have the balls to ask me "why are you giving me the wrong codes ? Do you want the phone or not ? If dont want I will give to other people" I played with him for 1 more time and then he gave up on me. Hahahha

Agreed. I think TS is not giving us the full story here. Your account don't simply just get "hacked" out of the blue like that. Thanks to this thread, I traced back all the websites that I have paired my cc with and deleted them. I've been too careless.
