Just upgraded to Merryfair Wau after using the Alterseat CG-07 for almost half a year. There are a few reasons that prompted the switch:
1. The Wau has a meshed seat which is more comfortable in hot weather
2. The CG-07 seat height can only be adjusted between 40cm-47cm; whereas the Wau can go from 46cm-57cm. My table is 75cm tall. I had to raise my shoulders to use the keyboard and mouse on the table. With the Wau, I can now sit taller with a footrest and instantly feel much more comfortable
3. The CG-07's headrest at its lowest position is resting at the back of my head. Whereas the Wau's headrest just sits right at the nape of the neck, giving better support
4. The armrest on the Wau follows when the chair is reclining, so your arm will still get the support in the reclined/ lounging position
The CG-07 feels comfortable at first try but using it while constantly raising my shoulders are causing a pain after 6 months. The chair is built for taller people but the seat height is too low. It still offer great value for its price, as long as you can fit into the chair. Though, the foam on the seat is still in great shape despite using it for more than 10hours a day for the past 6 months.
