I tested a model similar to WAU. I am pretty sure it's the same supplier or same manufacturing company but just rebrand as something else, OEM basically.
Anyway, the chair is actually very small. I am 156CM. It fits me just nicely. I imagine people with bigger sizes will have their skins/flesh protrudes out of the chair shape, which will be uncomfortable. I personally don't like it much myself. But MerryFair could be different, you should go and try it when you can. smile.gif

This is the one I tried, as you can see, the same exact design.

There is a Wau 2 model which is the same, but with a wider backrest.

Its true. I bought PoFit from AMOffice through Shopee and it was the worst decision ever, causing even more back aches with all the gimmicks.
Honestly the only way to know if the chair suits you or not is to go and try yourself. There are no other choices really. Look for those shops that have physical stores that allow you to test.

I find Ergohuman to be much better than Pofit, it has a very good lumbar support.

Merryfair now have 20% off, check their dedicated store not bad

I bought Anggun it was pretty good to me, even seat depth is adjustable at just 528 after disc, 1k budget have plenty of choice above Anggun as well.

I have and always recommend steelcase chairs

Steelcase Leap - 2.5k~ ish.
Steelcase Think - 2k~ish

Price may change

I have sat extensively on both chair for long hours due to WFH. They are very comfortable and provide good support.
Material quality is awesome. I have the Leap for 2.5 years and it is still like new.

I've been browsing around for an ergonomic chair for couple of months now and still can't decide which to get. I would love to be able to go out and try them, but not all are available for testing, and given the pandemic situation I'd rather not anyway. My budget is RM1k~2k (my back is really hurting lately, don't mind spending a bit to get a decent one but not Herman Miller kind of budget lar)

A few that I've been considering;
- Steelcase Leap V2 (highly recommended by many - but I'm not sure what's the price tag on this one?)
- Merryfair Wau (currently leaning towards this one... but still having doubts...)
- AM Office POFIT (not seriously considering this one though... don't like the looks...)
- ErgoChair 2 (so much hype on the net about this one, but apparently not that trustworthy?)

Would appreciate any more recommendations, or feedback on the above chairs please icon_question.gif

Your list of chairs were in my consideration.
So here are some of my comments:

1. Steelcase Leap
This one is around RM2.5K and above iirc. I didn't get to try but I didn't choose this model in the end because I didn't like the cushioned seat. I prefer mesh so it no longer in my list.

2. Merryfair Wau
I tested something similar to WAU, pretty sure it's the same manufacturer or OEM. (You can search for the shop called Arturo in Lazada to see they have a similar chair but more expensive for some reasons) I didn't like it myself, even though i'm 156CM and normal weight. I find it very small, for men or someone bigger surely you cannot fit into the chair.

3. AM Office POFIT
I tried and returned and refunded within 3 days. But had to make a huge noises about it because AMOFFICE after sales services are really horrible. POFIT does not have good quality for RM1,500 chair. I have more backaches after this chair. And also the app/digital/smart chair bullshits are just bullshits. They are horrible gimmicks and the app is really suspicious, asking for information & phone permissions that I really think they don't need at all. But there are also good reviews about this chair, so one's man poison may be another man's meat.

4. ErgoChair 2
Was also looking at this but didn't like that I had to pre-order at that point of time. And i didn't like that the backrest height couldn't be adjusted & cushioned seat. But otherwise i think the chair looks really good.

In the end I went to Evis and got myself ErgoPro with Legrest. xD

So ... in addition to the Merryfair Spinelly (posted about this earlier), I also just added a Merryfair Wau 2 for my wife.
Here are my thoughts on the chairs you are looking at.

********************

1. Steelcase Leap V2
This is much more comfortable and build quality is much better than the Merryfairs. However, just like @miyakochan89 pointed out, the promo package for the Leap V2 (RM2.5k) is only with the cushion back rest, but I prefer a mesh one. There is no promo package for the mesh backrest, so you will have to pay full price ( > RM4k). More importantly, the sales people at ZenPro are damn f**king LCLY, and put me off buying anything from them.

Note: I also tested the Steelcase Think which is (no promo) about RM2.2k for one ... comfort is quite decent but the headrest cannot pakai one. However, they did tell me that the headrest will be upgraded for 2021 models.

2. Merryfair Wau
As mentioned above, I bought this already. A lot of adjustability with very good lumbar support, but build quality is very "plasticky" ... does not feel high end at all. My pregnant wife is very happy with it though. The good thing about buying from Merryfair is you can customize everything, including colour and material.

3. AM Office POFIT
I actually found this really comfortable ... first impressions were excellent. But build quality is also very "plasticky", similar to my feedback on the Merryfair above.

Note: I also tested the Ergohuman which was nicely built (compared to the POFIT), but somehow I just couldn't find the right fit for me (I think this is more to do with my own body than a fault of the chair).

4. ErgoChair 2
No comments - did not test

********************

Overall, I am happy with my Merryfair Spinnelly and Wau, which with the promo price, both added up still cost less than one Steelcase Leap (even with their promo). Like I said, the Steelcase is a better chair, but there are some compromises you have to make unless you don't mind paying full price. More importantly, customer service at Merryfair is top notch compared to those at ZenPro.

Sekian, terima kasih.

I can tell Wau is quite 'plasticky' after only having seen user reviews on YouTube - which is why I still haven't decided. But I take it from your comment this is about the only bad thing about it, and I consider it minor issue as long as durability is not compromised. Leaning more and more towards this.

Place price aside, what would you be looking for in a chair?
- Build quality (rough/non lasting finishing, accelerated wear in non-air conditioned room)
- Wide seat (can sit crossed leg)
- Seat material (mesh VS sponge VS foam)
- Back material
- Adjustable armrest/Padded armrest
- Lumbar support/adjustability
- Head support/adjustability
- Tilt adjustment (non/fixed position/fully auto)

How's your seating posture now and any physical body pains from current chair?

I won't bother about long warranty as the only part of concern is the Chair Gas Lift. Others are difficult to claim due to wear & tear or improper usage (ie. heavy body weight and chair can't support it, chair is being used as a toy by kids).

Expensive chairs doesn't guarantee so called good status as a person may not need all of the features.
A cheap one (fullback <RM100) on the other hand will have build quality issues due to material type.

Unfortunately I'd say its still best to test out the chair or look for one which you can return with minimal/full refund.

After switching to this chair, i haven't had any backaches, so far so good. The chair is a little heavy and maybe slightly overpriced but overall pretty good!
Previous ikea markus i can't sit for more than an hour cause i got backaches. I didn't even realise that i don't have backaches anymore until my SO told me that i don't complain about it anymore. xD And with the legrest i can comfortably lounge on the chair and watch movies on my PC.

However, I did put a small pillow on the lower back of the chair because I think the curve is slightly too much and the pillow helps to mitigate that.

I just made order for  ANGGUN chair from Merryland
Currently they have 20% promo.
Ordered from their website.
https://merryfairstore.com/
Will try to update when arrived and tried.

I saw in the store, Anggun has 2 options: High-back & mid-back

What's the difference? How do I know which one suits me as female? Can't go showroom

I wanted to share my chair testing experience with a local shop, they have 2 brands, their house brand and brand A*. The house brand feels OK during testing but nothing fancy, certainly not premium, warranty is just a few months, not sure can last how long. Then the brand A* chair back support is tiltable like most of them but the tension is too loose and don't feel solid, if I lock the back support movement then the lumbar support doesn't suite my back, worse then the house brand.

Maybe I consider buying a cushion to stack on my plastic chair first.

Maybe you could share the house brands and how the chair looks like. This is too general.

From what i can see the high back & mid back is only the headrest (with or without) the length of back support of the chair is the same length.
So you can choose either with headrest or not that's all. Headrest is good to have.

Anyone here actually tried Secret Lab Titan?

I am fully aware of all the gimmicks sold by gaming chair, but I need something that is solid plus aesthetically pleasing to some degree

Would love to hear thoughts of fellow Malaysians, reddit thread seems to have mixed reviews and YouTube is infested with sponsored reviews

p.s. previously used IKEA Markus (RM 5xx) and currently using IKEA Milberger (RM 2xx), both are decent at best, nothing to scream for its price

+not gonna fork out huge amount for Herman Miller Aeron, neither do I like 2nd hand chairs

I have the surge, i had to jack up the height in order to obtain the good height against my table height to use my keyboard comfortably hence feet are not touching the ground properly, I've bought additional foot rest for the support.
The chair is okay, slightly big for my body size (175cm/61kg), few complains:
- I feel the headrest pillow is not good in the position where it ties from the hole to upwards (the pillow goes too high), so i just tie it between the holes (left-right) and it got slightly lower than my neck. I just have to manually put it higher
- armrests are not going low enough, then the highest settings is totally unusable without feeling uncomfortable
- lumbar pillow deformed/flattened after 6 month of usage. ive gotten another aftermarket pillow nod.gif

your forum name looks familiar , you are the one that i reply previously for that Pofit ergochair right?

sorry to hear your case , seems like that chair is not suitable for you.

for my case this is the 3rd month sitting on it, happy to report that with this chair , my lower back pain is no more, and shoulder pain is now reduce to minimum (almost close to non, still healing i guess), and no more neck pain as well since the chair fit me very well after playing around with the headrest adjustment .

agree on the Bluetooth app part, i also uninstall . initially was hoping to check tracking and see how long i sit on the chair, but its not accurate at all.

i made a huge gamble as well , since my self actually purchase it without test sit on it in the 1st place.
Thats why i suggest better go try it out 1st before purchase but did not except you place the order for Pofit so fast
luckily for my case is that this Pofit suits me , else i think i might post similar review just like yours in this forum.

but still , glad to see that you get a chair that suit you , a proper chair is super important , especially for those that sit for long hours.
