Oh? Isn't that the wrist should be rested ideally straight with 90degree angle with your arm?
and with the normal typing position, it should be rested on the table.

Talked to Alterseat support, they insist that my sitting position is incorrect.
They claimed that no one has complained about the lumbar support design, and I'm the first to complaint about it.
I highlighted that the hard plastic of the lumbar support should not pushes against my back. It should be supported by the cushion instead.
After a call with their technician, they decided to send technician on-site to help me get the lumbar support removed.

Now here is the interesting part. As soon as the technician saw my chair, immediately he told me that the lumbar support was incorrectly assembled from the factory.
The lumbar cushion that supposed to face downward is now facing upward. Which is why the hard plastic bracket is exposed to my back rather than the padded part.
It's really a huge difference after the technician fixes lumbar cushion position. Problem solved. Lol

For me ideally should be almost 90, with ankle resting on the arm rest. This is to reduce the stress on the shoulder.

so far my gaming chair so good
but i always have neck pain issue

not sure ergonomic chair can solve it or not
so i am filtering and see which one suit me
*
If it’s neck pain you can try to use neck pillow to support or try to move around every 15 minutes or so.
If your chair is not giving you back pain then shouldn’t be an issue la.

QUOTE(jomonista @ Aug 5 2021, 10:59 PM)
Using it for more than a week now, I am quite satisfied with the chair.

First of all, aftersales service is quite top notch. I got some defect in the seat part where the screw holes not really aligned, and after video calls with them, they sent me a replacement part on the same day using Lalamove.

The cushion is quite thick and on a firm side in my opinion. Originally I felt that the fabric cushion is too hot for my butt but after a few times using it, I can now sit on it for almost 8 hours per day without discomfort. The seat can also be slide forward and backward. For my body, the seat is also wide enough that sometimes I will cross my leg on the seat without any issue.

The hand rest is soft touch type which is comfortable, but unfortunately they only offer 2D adjustment(forward and backward adjustment). In some case, I wish that I can move the angle so it is more comfortable when playing games with controller etc.

I am 162cm and by using the chair at it's lowest height, the lumbar support and headrest is at the limit of what I can call as usable. My feet also just nice touch the ground with lowest height setting. I think if your height is lower than 162cm, you won't be comfortable with this chair. On the other hand, I think the chair is better for someone a bit taller than me.

On to the design, I like the grey color mesh, and it look just like the picture. It look professional while not become overly boring with all black like typical office chair IMO.

The tilt(Synchro tilt) is until 135deg if I am not mistaken, and you can only lock it at 3 position. Rocking with it feels comfortable and I have yet hear any weird noise when I use it.

What chair did you get?

how do you all know if the herman miller is original or not?

For an example like this seller, i wonder if the photos in the reviews are actually fake buyers or not.

You mistaken I've yet to even order it, just asking around whether Dsignhaus is selling a replica?

If it a replica then it cost around 1.7k not 8k. The actual authorised dealer Trax is selling at 12k for actual eames.
Haha, I did came across this seller as well. Look legit from the buyer ratings with photo. But say if it a real HM, not sure Malaysia AD will honour the 12 years warranty for it.

It a shame if HM can't honour it with these enormous price tag.

The only AD is trax right?

Fancy voiding warranty? icon_idea.gif
U can disassemble the chair and clean the particular part most likely it doesn’t involve anything with the gas cylinder, hence making it simple as removing a couple of screws, etc.

For example I cleaned my seat fabric the other day, all it take is just 4 Torx T40 screws, then the others are pretty straight forward

by the way, wanna check with you where did you get your Herman Miller from?

Even if it trusted seller, but in the end whether worth to save few hundred or thousand to just give up the 12 years warranty.

Have to find someone whom did purchased it through the carousel and ask a favour to verify whether the chair is under warranty coverage from Trax.

I read through the HM's FAQ:
"1. What can I do about a Herman Miller product I bought from a reseller that wasn’t authorized and now the product needs to be repaired?

Your best option is to contact the reseller, who can perhaps make the repair for you. Because Herman Miller can’t guarantee the condition or authenticity of the components used by unauthorized resellers, these products wouldn’t be covered by Herman Miller’s warranty. Buying from an authorized Herman Miller reseller gives you two advantages. First is authenticity. If the product comes from an authorized reseller, you can be certain it’s the real thing. Second is warranty. Herman Miller and its authorized resellers stand behind every Herman Miller product and have the ability to make repairs, if needed.
Came the second one
2. What if I’ve moved and need service for my Herman Miller product?

Visit our Dealer and Retailer locator to find the one nearest your current location. Contact them, and they can verify warranty coverage and coordinate repair or replacement."
So based on second FAQ, if the actual buyer from carousel can verify the coverage with Trax. Then mean warranty still available internationally.

Be WARNED, (some user posted this)  HM warranty is only applicable to original owner and not transferable.
*
The non-transferable warranty I just get to know about it from the Carousell seller also. I asked about the warranty and he said it’s to contact him and he will ask the supplier. And one of his reasons is that most parts only covered up to 5 years in actual fact. It’s 1K difference from Trax prices and comes with the headrest.

Here I’m thinking, if I’m gonna buy such an expensive chair, I should just invest in authorised dealer despite it being 1K more and probably another 1K I need to look at if I want to fork out for the headrest. So that I will forever have a peace of mind.

But on the other hand, that seller is able to quote at least RM2K cheaper, and with the Atlas Headrest, quite a steal too!

What would you do yourself?

if can wait (10+ weeks?) n price diff not too huge, just buy new from AD..paying for piece of mind.

if can't wait, condition very good, pricing also ok, just buy used. the chairs even without warranty are made to last.
worst case if one of the part broke, just order the specific parts to replace, the HM chair (embody in my case) is pretty easy to service
*
10+ weeks? Trax told me they will restock in about 1~2 weeks or so.
yeah, i guess just go big or go home. The authenticity is 100%.

Same situation, I still contemplating whether to order it through Shopee. If it a real HM, mean it a direct from factory or it targeted for china market.
Haha true just pay more for piece of mind, but being Malaysian can only say that warranty actually does not work well over here.

When come to claiming warranty, Malaysia's seller will 1st try a way to push the blame on buyer and void the warranty.

Ordering the parts for replacement is one of the solutions, but again won't be easy in Malaysia where AD might not entertain.
By the way, what the material used on your HM Embody? Steel, Carbon or Graphite?
*
The same shopee seller?

Yeah. I would assume that the AD would be more careful in their dealings since the customers they are targeting are on the higher side. Besides, it’s possible to lodge complaints I would think.

Should be, shop name: elitism.
Cool, saw the new HM Logitech Embody and it kind of special with a blue back  drool.gif .
Maybe you can pay them a visit to try out the size C, as my brother suggest me to avoid size C due to the fact that it quite big for us Malaysian. He is currently using a size B Aeron.

Haha, if you going ahead with size B and ordering with Trax. Can let me know whether they will sell it at the discounted price on a new restock?
*
My size is Size A yo. but based on all the measurements, seats depth and etc... I think Size A will be very small and no rooms for extra maneuvers. I will opt for Size B.
How much is the discounted price? you mean the one they showed on the website? Currently it's selling at RM6.1K. Already got stocks for Size B by the way.

Here’s my review of the fully loaded Aeron B! Legendary chair - you won’t regret picking up the Dot Com Throne 😎

https://youtu.be/GtDVQ5ll-vA

Reason I say it’s fully loaded: There’s posturefit SL, adjustable arms, it’s a remastered. I could be wrong though!

Oh and… Bonus! Don’t know if you were reading the news yesterday, but guess who’s using an Aeron? 😅

If you want a headrest for that bad boy, I would also recommend hitting up the folks at Atlas Headrest, and they’ll be able to sort it out! Cushion is on preorder basis only though~
*
Won’t the headrest get stuck in the freaking custom? And you will have to pay crazy taxes for it.

Trax furniture! I’m still looking out for an affiliate partnership with these dudes (at least five people have bought Aerons after viewing my videos) but it ain’t happening yet - still gotta see what I can hustle up 😭

They just opened up for showroom viewings though!

Headrest this I don’t really know - I got one Suspension one already and it’s been my workhorse for the longest time (am waiting for cushion). I think it was about 800? They included a hundred something for the tax plus delivery I guess.

How long did they take to deliver after you purchased?

About two to three weeks? I can’t remember exactly but it wasn’t that long haha - I found it kind of necessary though, considering that I have been sitting (and continue to sit) in high-back secretlab chairs all this while. Transforms the experience of the chair!

Are you planning to get the Aeron and/or the headrest?
*
Planning to get the chair first. The chair took so long to deliver? If you order Trax, they are AD from local wor?

hjh87 FYI, Trax uses GDEX to deliver.
I would have expected them to have their own fleets.
