For those would like to go ZenPro during this period…
not sure if we should feel happy they trying to protect customers or not :/

Wow. I understand the vaccination part, but forcing customers to take test kits is a bit too much. Well not to say force, but still….

There is this company that only focuses on ergonomic chairs that I found very nice!
www.drivelife.com.my

They only have one product so I’m assuming they really know what they are doing. It might be quite expensive for some but they recently started to give 10 days trial (free return within 10 days of receiving item) and  instalment plans so i bought it. (Ps instalment only 199 on their shopee/lazada)

They also post articles related to their expertise i.e. ergonomics on their website

Overall, its really worth it. I tried those cheap cheap other brand ergonomic chair twice, but they all ended up disappointing me, this is actually worth the price!
*
This one will really need to try out the chair for sure. Cause it looks like the ErgoPro that i had and it is more suitable for certain people, probably taller people. It doesn’t look like the backrest can be adjusted and the seat depth can be adjusted also. It’s almost as expensive as a steelcase chair that offers more customisation. Also, it looks like those SiHoo rebrand that some people here are ordering directly from China at half a price. But that’s my personal opinion only.

Sorry but it just feel that you are the salesman of this company and you are not being honest by saying you actually bought one and recommend to forumers here since this is your first post in a new account. Appreciate if you can be honest here and instead of acting as a buyer, convince people to actually try your chair, tell us how your chair compete with steelcase, evispro or others within that price range. (Ps: sharing ergo related articles doesnt makes you reliable)
*
Oh didn’t even notice that the account is new!

Just got it, and so far so good.
With only fan and without aircon, I would say little hot, but bearable.

Found a sticker underneath the seat pad, it says made in malaysia, photo a bit blur.

A lot of furnitures are actually manufactured in MY until China takes over.
Thats why you see chairs that look similar like some overseas brands but under a different name. Could be the same manufacturer manufacturing for the other company, thats why they have the blueprints and then sell them as their own.

May I know where u get the roller blade wheel caster?
Is HM aeron wheel plunger/stem universal size 11mm*22mm? I cant really measure the 1mm difference in diameter with normal ruler.

Thanks
*
Huh interesting. Herman miller is never a heavy chair. Cause i have changed a few chairs and HM is definitely super light. It has ansolid feel but definitely light.

I bought AMOffice chair also but no so good. What did you do with the AMOffice chair?
*
Well, I made complaints against them after one day of sitting and experienced back pain and see some bruises on my back from the so called lumbar support? I made noises until they accepted to take the chair back and refund.

I found something to complain about the Herman Miller chair, it’s not good for leisure when I just wanna relax at night and watch show on my PC. Thinking to get an extra lounge/lazy chair. Any recommendations? Or just go for ikea’s?

Hey, you're welcome clement5949! Sorry I've not been posting on this forum for a while - I've been pretty busy building a couple of things here and there. Hope that you're well and that the footrest works! Yeah I thought that might be the case! Footrests are really good for that - I've even heard of pianos with footrests built in and even pedal extenders that people use when they want to extend the pedals (especially good for children)!
Oh hey miyakochan! How's the Aeron treating you? I'd recommend the Titan Evo 2022, and I do have footage of the world's greatest spine expert recommending it on camera, and that'll probably be out by next Friday or the Friday after xD

I'll be releasing a new video next week (possibly Monday?) about the Aeron vs. Secretlab for sure!
*
I’m still keeping the aeron. Not interested in any chairs that are not mesh.

One of the reason why I went with the embody..the other HM chairs pretty much force u to sit properly
*
I feel that it's the same with Embody. Cause Herman Miller doesn't really let you lounge or lock in a recline position.

Hi all, any comments for this chair?

https://www.alterseat.com/collections/featu...products/cg-700

&

https://spacemy.com.my/products/space-ergon...=40854178201769

The price is RM1400 & RM 1100, good to go?
My budget just around 1k only (Since I'll use the chair for 3-4 hours per day only)

My height is 179cm and 70kg, any suggestion for me?
*
This type of curved back designs it’s not for everyone, suggest that you actually go there and check for yourself.
Can’t choose seat depth though, for a lot of other chairs around this price usually can adjust some sort of seat depth.

i didnt realize how important the curve of a chair that supports your back. Im not a fan of my steelcase because the back is flatter and stiff, and the adjustable lumbar support doesn't make a difference either.  cry.gif
*
Some of these curves are overly done, look at Herman Miller chairs as well, they don’t have much curve. Even the Japan brand - Okamura spots minimal curve designs. They are flatter. I personally would take Steelcase or Herman Miller or Okamura equivalent designs because these companies at least take time and years to research and study about it. The rest, don’t know. Even if they do have some sort of curve back, they don’t have the extreme angles that some of these chairs have.

So to clarify, this BOAN is selling grey import I assume? saw their offer and a bit skeptical since there are copy selling out there.
*
Yes I spoke to them before I got my Aeron from Trax. They said that they can ask suppliers to send parts if there are issues. Unlike Trax that tells me straight away that I can claim warranty with them.

They also told me that the chair is durable and most likely won’t break down, so might as well buy a cheaper one and then resell it at the same value later. I feel that this kinda sales speech is scammy as hell.

No doubt they will give an original Aeron(maybe?) problem is his supplier and warranty. With no official guarantee, you really don’t know where their Aeron is from. I mean there could be some minor defect units or equivalent, who knows really. Or those rejected units maybe? Which is most likely I feel. Otherwise why would they not have proper warranty at least?

Also, when I ordered my Aeron from Trax, my chair was a lemon unit, and Trax sent engineers to check and immediately replaced a new one for me. I doubt I will get the same treatments without official warranty. Because they have a responsibility to take care of Herman Miller reputation as well as an authorised dealer. The rest doesn’t.

Honestly if you can afford a 5K chair? Please pay slightly more to get that peace of mind.
Why risk it?

Would not buy personally, went over to have a look in Ikea wanted to get the Markus but it's out of stock. Had a look at this chair but it's little small for 180cm. It's okay comfy during test but the color tone is a no to me. Also compared to my current TTracing gaming chair I just felt it doesn't give the vibe of a gaming chair nor a chair which provides proper ergonomic.

Not to mentioned their ROG series selling at RM499, i'll avoid that at all cost.

QUOTE(kidmad @ Nov 15 2021, 08:57 PM)
but it's no good wo, at least the series from ikea. you really have to go give it a try. the RM499 is terrible. the one @ RM699 is still acceptable but i think alot have been sharing here, you can get sihoo M57 at RM799 only.. that's hell lot more value for money.
*
I saw the youtube video introducing those chairs. The materials look kinda cheap and thin.

No one discussing about the new release TL62 from AM Office? Seems like not bad at RM659 for a full mesh seat, but not sure this OEM from which China brand.

https://amoffice.com.my/product/tl62-ergono...ack-mesh-chair/

Anyway I'm still looking for a full mesh seat budget at RM 1k - 1.2k. Is Sihoo M57 / V1 still the best option?
*
I have had similar chairs from AM Office with this kinda of back support. Not recommended at all. It's horrible and cut into your skin.
Granted that my body size is not even big or wide, for those who have wider body size for sure the edges will poke into your back.

"Those chairs", you mean IKEA's?

yeah lo the ikea's one.

Great thread. Thanks TS for starting it.

I have my current Tomaz chair. Dont know why after using a couple months its becoming rather uncomfortable.

Thus looking for a new one now, any recommendation for a nice workplace chair <1k?

Thinking of getting the famous Markus from IKEA
*
if you are tall, then you could probably test water with Markus. but it's definitely not good for short people.
This chair is built for average Scandinavian height ...
