Will the PlayStation 5 Pro be launched with a disc version anytime soon?

I am considering whether to wait for it to be bundled together with the disc drive or buy the digital version + disc drive separatley.

No. Because the next launch will be PS6 around Nov 2027

Just got mine from Yodobashi Camera at Akihibara last week, they still have tons of ready stock there. Price is even cheaper than in Malaysia.

Yes it comes with 1 year warranty, and we will get an additional 3 months if we register the warranty online.
For some reason we have to register it on Playstation website (HK ???) rather than Sony MY website.
If I'm not mistaken the last console that I need to register the warranty on Playstation website was PS3/PSVita.

but last time, I successfully registered the extended 90 days warranty online for my PS4 Pro though.

Now how to remedy this issue ya?

I've contacted Sony about extending 2-years warranty. They said, 14 days within the purchase date to be able to register the extended warranty. I pre-booked 2nd Nov, not sure if that count as purchase date when it arrived on 7th Nov.

They asked to send this info to cic.somas@ap.sony.com

I was not on the same spectrum as yours on the physical games.

when i was on PS4 Pro previously, i only own physical discs for Battlefield 1, MGS5 & the last of us Part 1.

after  that, it's just digital games. Besides, having physical discs still requires you to be online to do disc verification.
so i here i thought, why need still need physical disc ya?

Hence, i don't mind without the disc drive. and I don't resell used games. After buy, play kaw2, unlock everything, maybe play again up to New Game +2 or +3, then store it at PSN cloud only.

Same here. I have the OG phat Ps5 for nearly 4 years now.
I own zero physical games.
Only physical games I own are ps4 games.

When I collected my PS5 pro, the thought of getting a disc drive never even crossed my mind.

I do hope that Sony will keep their library online though.
The day they shut it down is the day piracy is justified.

shutting down is matter of time... probably PS8 or 9 era. just like PS3 games in PSN.

I don't think all PS5 Pro enhanced games will achieve 60fps. It'll be back to square one, especially when it comes to fidelity. They give us something, they take some in return.

Means not worth?

I tried the games I purchased digitally. The only game that displayed significant improvement on PS5 Pro is FF7 Rebirth. Most reviews said FF7 Rebirth had a noticeable improvement, others games did not display noticable improvement.

If you are not a fan of the game, you shouldn't upgrade to PS5 Pro.

I am ok to buy games digitally.
