i have the same ssd as yours.

I've not popped it in yet...will do it after i upgrade the firmware.

Just get the Gigabyte Aorus Gen4 7000s SSD, i won't call it affordable, SSDs are very expensive but I think this one is less expensive, put it that way.

installing it is very easy, but i had some challenge taking off the side panel, it was super tight.

you're not alone. i coulnd't update mine. the firmware update tool says fail to power on.

but strangely, the SSD Toolbox utility could detect my card beautifully and it gives all the stats and info about the SSD.

my computer could also recognise the SSD and I could save and open files into and from the SSD.

I used an Orico adapter which has a Realtek chipset.

So I'm just using the SSD on my PS5 with the original firmware. All good and still runs very well.

for those who are still waiting to get your hands on a PS5, just distract your mind by doing some other activities, tune your mind to a new gadget that will take away the thoughts of owning a Ps5. don't fall to these scams, it's not worth it and you'll regret later.

To be honest, I do not play my PS5 that often now. Already played and completed some of the best PS5 games, nothing much to look forward to. PS+ games for this month and last month wasn't that great. Only Hitman 2 was nice for this month.

anyone played ubisoft's free trial of Ghost Recon?

At resolution mode, I found the gameplay not smooth and it kind of ruined the playing experience even on a PS5. Of course, there's a performance mode, but I'm the type who like to max out the settings.

Yeah, I felt the game was choppy at 30fps, felt it maybe dipped even lower.

Miles Morales was still fluid at 30ps at high resolution mode.

So much marketing on 120fps and 120Hz TVs but hardware is still not up to the mark. I think there is no need to get that 120Hz TVs.
There is a trade off if you want to get that fluid movements.

4K@60 would have been the sweet spot but even that is unachievable.

I think PC gaming using a RTX3080 is the best for hard core gamers. Comes at a cost of course.

The person asked me if the controller came together with the PS5 set, I said yes, and she asked me for the serial number of my PS5 and I gave it to her. So just keep the S/N ready as they will request for it.

Officially it takes 3 weeks but mine stretched to almost 3 months last time because of the MCO during that time when the offices were closed just after i visited the centre, but your case won't be like mine obviously.

True. My dual sense suffered analog drift problem within around 6 months of purchase. I claimed warranty and they gave me a new one.
