I enjoyed joining contests too when I was young. Quite easy to win some prizes.

What was your biggest prize? Won any grand prize before?

For me, I won a grand prize in year 2000. A huge hamper worth RM20k. It was delivered to my house in a fully-loaded small lorry, filing up my house floor space with goodies. 😂👏

During the contest campaign, I joked with some promoters say I wanted to win that hamper. He terus pour cold water, say...aiya... these thing already arranged one... you won't win one...

I actually believed him but I continued to submit multiple entries... my job was to guess the total price of that big hamper. I put auspicious numbers like 16888, 19888, 28888... something like that...🤣🤣

Actually I did do some homework. The list of things inside that 20' tall (or maybe taller??) hamper was available. The organiser was a hypermarket, so some prices of goodies could be checked there. However, some souvenir goodies from some beer sponsors had no price.

During prize presentation, I was told that there were actually syndicates trying to win grand prizes like that.

I think it's possible lah..

I only won once grand prize is ps but i doubt you could win everyone single “grand” prize then agressively threaten to lod every site who post question bout fishy constant winning streak, without even making people think as fishy as posible.

Genuine contest organisers will make sure the winners are their targeted consumers/ customers.

I had some winning streak at our klia airport contests as I was travelling quite often for the past few years just before mco. Buy above a certain amount from duty free shops, entitled me to join. Why not? Haha. I love shopping..

My first win was RM10K voucher. I fast fast book another trip so that I could spend the cash vouchers, then I win another prize. And it continued. Others small small prizes only la..

I always checked their websites to find names of winners and then... one time I read, they changed a small rule. They don't allow same person to win more than 3 times in a row. Hah??? Anyway, after that mco came along, I stopped buying from them. No travelling..

total prize for entire campaign is 103 (grand/monthly/consolation), which mean organizer are expecting to have at least of 5150 of entries, if more than that it will be forfeit, if less than that 5150 entries, every 51th will get shortlisted or any other backup mechanism to handle the lack of participation.

but according to my Paynet contest participation experience, it usually more than 5150 entries, otherwise organizer/partner (eg. Paynet/MyDebit/Lotus) will extend for anther 30-60 days.

Nola, 103 prizes only mean 103 people will be selected from all the 50th entries received. You only can send 15 times and below because it does not make sense if you want to make losses. The duration is 2 months. And Lotus revenue billions every year. 1.2M followers on FB. It's super unlikely will kena because the probability of you not being selected is so high, that it's even worse than playing baccarat.

If he can spam 50x of receipt/whatsapp/entry to get himself shortlisted to be one of the "every 50th entry", then why would he he spam 15 times of 50x entries.

All you need is just pick a time where is low traffic of SMS/WhatsApp period of time, and use software to automatic it the sending the photo. So the best time is just pick a random midnight hour to do it.

50x of entries = 1 shortlisted chance = RM100x50=RM5000 spending.

I wish I got someone from inside can pakat with me, but I'm one of those seasonal/part-time contest hunter. Reading TnC and finding the loophole around it is the step 1 to begin with, using some strategy will have some upper hand also.

If he only spams 2 times vs thousands of shortlisted, that is the impossibility. Duh. There is no way you can ensure the organizer will pick you first since there are at least thousands of people at the 50th entry.

Btw there are 64 lotus stores nationwide. Let say each store shortlisted 2 people each day, 64X2X60days=7680! I only assume 2 shortlisted each day for each store, it could be more!! 1.2M FB followers ah LLK!

mine, the highest is some electronic equipment only.

Some cash prizes, some electronic equipments, some vouchers, some small small items.

I even participated in radio contests, i would sit down and press the number repeatedly (again and again non-stop for over 20 minutes when the DJ announced it's time to call). Within two years, I got at least two prizes from radio contests. But i can't do that every single year. I can only do that when i was a student. Imagine if I did that continuously with dedication, then i will be getting prizes like almost every year, then later ktard wonder why the same person keep winning.

And some wondering why all of LLK family members can received prizes. The answer is simple, when you submit multiple entries, you put all your family members name in. Everyone does that.

in one contests, one of the winners being interviewed (it came out in The Star newspaper), he said spent a lot of money to buy the product just to submit over 100 entries. That's why i said there are ppl out there who are willing to go to the extreme. Even spending excessively.

What I mean 2 times = 100 entries (at least) = more than RM10,000 he spend. (RM100/bill/entry)

Yes. You just said it. According to the terms with 2 months duration. Every 50th will be shortlisted. That is how he found the loophole to get himself shortlisted. Not exactly loophole but he is gaming the system/mechanism of the contest. Aside of high commitment per entry (RM100 each)

And yes, repeated will be disqualify, I'm put an example scenario, what if anyone are coming in after 5150 entry, well they won't get shortlisted to the top/first 103 winners due to late sending in, they only pray for invalid entry, blur photo, so that the next backup 50th to be get shortlisted. Example, someone really get disqualify at 50th for blur photo or invalid entry or duplicated, so they have to pick 50th entry beyond the 5150 which is at 5200th. Do you get it?

Actually these contests are part of marketing, the more you spend, the more entries you can submit. Both win-win. Most of the winners either spent a lot of time or money to win.

If one never participated in any of these contests, he'll never win any and will say cheating la, scam la, etc.

LLK, you are getting out of control adi and probably you dunno what you were saying. Again I repeat, there is no clause to say after 5154 entries will be disqualified/won't get shortlisted to the top. Unless the organizers told you, is it.

If there is no paakt, how on earth can you ensure they would select you as the first shortlisted candidate? It's never been revealed in the T&C how they will make the selection. Logically it should be randomize, assuming the contest is fair and audited.
