i notice this year's iphone 12 pro/pro max battery health drains fairly quickily compared to previous models... my wife's 12 PM is super underused, only used for whatsapp, not even other social media or entertainment... and even whatsapp usage is minimal like she check her whatsapp once an hour or so.. pretty low daily screen time...never on bluetooth etc.. never charge overnight, never charge below 30% and above 60%...and she uses the charger/cable that comes with the box... and guess what... she started using it dec 2020 and now its already at 95%...something's so wrong... she had her first 99% in may, then 98% in June, and then july onwards drops 1% every "week"... never had this issue in any of the older models..she gave up monitoring the battery health after googling up with loads of similar forum complains on the same issue...

I had that 'issue' from June till July with ios 14.5 till ios 14.6. 1% drop every 7-10 days. Currently at 91%. It stopped after updating to ios 14.7 though.

My wife hasn’t been updating her os since unbox..pretty much running on 14.2.1, so I doubt it’s the same case as her issue...I guess this is just a 12 pro/PM issue....It further convinces me with tons of similar cases reported over google

so my wife decided to give it a last test before giving up, her batt health drop about 1% a week from 98% to 95%, and since last week, she intentionally not use the phone much, maybe about 30 mins screen time a day, and charge once every 3 days (no overnight charge and never wireless charge before, no calls for a week, mobile data was disabled as well), and yes today dropped another 1% now at 94%... pretty much concluded that this is a glitch and it only happen on iphone 12 PM, never had this issue on any of the older models...i suspect it has alot to do with the magnetic wireless charging thing...this is her secondary phone and its super underused, for it to be 94% since dec 2020 just doesnt make sense...all her previous iphone has 99%-100% health after 10-11 months use...so sad to see what they've done to the latest iphone... hope the next model wont have such issue or we'll switch to android for sure...
since she's still running on 14.2.1, should I get her to update to the latest firmware?
